Job Description

The Human Resources (HR) Generalist manages various aspects of the HR function of an Eataly store including but not limited to: recruitment, onboarding, training, interpretation of policies, performance management, employee relations and terminations. Reports to the Human Resources Business Partner (HRBP).  

  • Collaborates with the HRBP to deploy a fully integrated People strategy from acquisition to exit
  • Executes all aspects of the recruitment process using the Applicant Tracking System: sources candidates; screens and selects candidates for advancement in the hiring process; coordinates interviews; collects feedback; manages candidate experience and follow up
  • Organizes in-store hiring events and participates in external job fairs
  • Provides training to hiring managers on the Applicant Tracking System and effective interviewing
  • Prepares employees for proper cultural assimilation through onboarding and new hire orientation
  • Serves as a fairness advocate and manages employee relations issues: conducts effective, thorough and objective investigations, hearing and resolving employee grievances; counsels employees and supervisors
  • Works with managers to make coaching and development of employees a daily activity
  • Collaborates with Corporate to build and implement trainings for employees
  • Drives awareness and adoption of broad benefits offerings at Eataly
  • Conducts and analyzes exit interviews to identify and recommend improvements to existing processes
  • Ensures legal compliance by monitoring and implementing applicable HR federal and state requirements
  • Supports the HRBP with metrics and data analysis
  • Performs other duties as required or assigned

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • 3+ years of HR experience, preferably in retail and/or hospitality
  • Understanding of all components of HR including systems, databases and metrics
  • Solid analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication, listening and interpersonal skills
  • Fluency in Spanish preferred

Compensation

  • Compensation for this role is USD $70,000-$75,000 annually
