Northrop Grumman Corporate Office is seeking a Human Resources Director supporting Business Management and our Legal & Contracts organization. This position is located in Falls Church, VA. This is not a remote position.
The HR Director serves as a strategic business partner providing day-to-day support to the CO Executive Leadership Team (ELT) functional team members and other corporate leaders in accomplishment of business objectives. The primary function of the role is to be a strategic partner and consultant to the business to ensure we have a human capital strategy in place to attract, engage, develop and retain the talent necessary to meet the strategic goals of the business for today and for the future.
The selected candidate will lead a team of HR business partners responsible for executing the HR strategy and will lead human capital programs and core processes including but not limited to talent acquisition, talent assessment and development, performance management, employee relation, total rewards, succession planning and talent pipeline development, organization effectiveness and leadership development. The person in this role is responsible for leading enterprise-wide transformative projects and initiative requiring strategic thought leadership, organizational and project management skills in a high paced environment, ability to influence stakeholders at all levels, strong business acumen and problem-solving capabilities. Successful candidates will have a strategic mindset, tolerance of ambiguity and strength in building relationships and driving business outcomes.

Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree required plus a minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in HR OR Master’s degree and 8 years of progressive experience in HR

Experience designing and implementing human capital strategies aligned to business strategy, with clear business outcomes

Proficiency with HRIS platforms and technology (e.g. Workday)
