Northrop GrummanCorporate Office is seeking a Human Resources Directorsupporting Business Management and our Legal & Contracts organization.This position is located in Falls Church, VA. This is not a remote position. 

The HR Director serves as a strategic business partner providing day-to-daysupport tothe CO Executive Leadership Team (ELT) functional team members and othercorporate leadersinaccomplishment of businessobjectives.The primary function of the role is to be a strategic partner and consultant to the business toensure we havea human capital strategy in placeto attract, engage, develop and retain the talent necessaryto meet thestrategicgoals of the businessfor today and for the future. 

The selected candidate will lead a team of HR business partners responsible for executing the HR strategy and will lead human capital programs and core processesincluding but not limited totalent acquisition, talent assessment and development, performance management, employee relation, total rewards, succession planning and talent pipeline development, organization effectiveness andleadershipdevelopment. The person in this roleis responsible forleading enterprise-wide transformative projects and initiative requiring strategic thought leadership, organizational and project management skills in a high paced environment, ability to influence stakeholders at all levels,strong businessacumenand problem-solving capabilities.Successful candidates will have a strategic mindset, tolerance of ambiguity andstrength in building relationships and driving business outcomes.

Basic Qualifications: 

  • Bachelor’s degree required plus a minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in HR OR Master’s degree and 8 years of progressive experience in HR   

  • Experience across multiple HR disciplines  

  • Experience leading HR teams  

  • Experience designing and leading change management efforts  

  • Experience designing and implementing human capital strategies aligned to business strategy, with clear business outcomes  

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills; demonstrated ability to effectively communicate with and influence others at all levels  

  • Strong project management and problem-solving skills  

  • Adaptability and resilience; able to change course when needed and operate in an ambiguous environment  

  • Previous experience developing and implementing organization effectiveness strategies and approaches, implementing organization design and/or organization transformations  

Preferred Qualifications: 

  • Previous experience in Aerospace & Defense   

  • Experience leading a team as a Human Resources Director responsible for multiple HR disciplines  

  • Proficiency with HRIS platforms and technology (e.g. Workday)  

  • Experience working in a matrix environment  

Primary Level Salary Range: $185,400.00 - $278,200.00

The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.

Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
