Overview

The HR Coordinator is responsible for preparing, processing, and auditing sensitive information, which necessitates considerable use of tact and discretion. Gathers and prepares documentation within assigned area of Human Resources. Performs moderately complex specialized duties within assigned area such as collecting data and preparing personnel statistics and reports.

Responsibilities
  • Provides overall administrative support to the HR department. Perform customer service functions by answering employee requests and questions.
  • Ensure compliance as it relates to the Apprentice(s) and the Apprenticeship(s)
  • Facilitate, administer, and oversee the Apprentice and Apprenticeship programs in all areas
  • Maintains and processes Human Resource Information System records and compiles reports from database, which includes verifying completeness of documents, and coding data for processing, etc.
  • Assists with compliance with federal and state regulations concerning employment.
  • Work closely with regional and other corporate department leadership teams as a partner to ensure that individual region/department HR needs are met
  • Work closely with the HR Generalist and Sr. Corp HR Manager for building access management and camera review when needed
  • Assist the HR Assistants and the HR Generalist with tasks as needed
  • May assist with New Hire Orientation and Onboarding.
  • Compile and present statistical data on employees; assist in projects, events and open enrollment; arrange for meetings; and facilitate communication amongst departments and employee
  • Participates in administrative staff meetings and attends other meetings and seminars.
  • Facilitate, support and foster Bergelectric’s company culture initiatives and overall mission
Qualifications
  • Minimum of a High School Diploma. Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Human Resources, Business, or Organization Development or equivalent preferred.
  • 3 to 5 years of experience in the HR field, or any similar combination of Education or Experience.
  • General knowledge of employment laws and practices.
  • Proficiency in MS Office, Excel, Word, and Outlook.
  • Strong communication skills (oral and written)
  • Ability to make sound decisions using available information while maintaining confidentiality.
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
  • Strong interpersonal and customer service skills
  • Able to work with sensitive/confidential information, in a time-sensitive, fast-paced environment
Physical Demands
  • The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
  • This is largely a sedentary role; however, this role may require the ability to lift files, open filing cabinets and bend or stand to complete other administrative functions.

  • This role operates in a professional office environment and routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, etc.
Salary RangeUSD $32.00 - USD $36.00 /Yr. Benefits

Skills Required

  • High school diploma
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Human Resources, Business, or Organization Development
