Job DescriptionAbout the Opportunity
We are seeking a highly organized, detail-oriented HR Coordinator to support the day-to-day HR operations of a rapidly growing organization. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a high-volume environment, enjoys working with data and processes, and takes pride in getting the details right.
The HR Coordinator will be responsible for processing a wide range of employee transactions, maintaining accurate employee data and documentation, coordinating HR workflows, and ensuring requests move efficiently from initiation through completion.
This is a hands-on, execution-focused role. Success requires exceptional attention to detail, strong follow-through, comfort managing a high volume of transactions and competing priorities, and the ability to recognize when something does not look right. The ideal candidate is someone who enjoys creating order, following a process, and finding ways to make that process better as the organization continues to scale.
Essential Functions
- Process high-volume employee transactions throughout the employee lifecycle, including new hires, transfers, promotions, compensation changes, manager changes, organizational changes, leaves, and terminations.
- Enter, update, audit, and maintain employee information across HR systems, spreadsheets, trackers, and other internal records with a high degree of accuracy and timeliness.
- Coordinate HR workflows across multiple stakeholders to ensure transactions are complete, properly documented, approved, and processed within required timelines.
- Support new-hire onboarding by coordinating pre-employment requirements, employee documentation, system setup, orientation activities, and communication with internal teams.
- Support pre-employment processes including background checks, drug testing, physicals, MVRs, and other required screenings.
- Review incoming HR requests and documentation for completeness and accuracy, identify missing or inconsistent information, and follow up to resolve issues before processing.
- Maintain organized and accurate employee files and HR documentation in accordance with company policies and applicable recordkeeping requirements.
- Create, maintain, and reconcile HR trackers and reports used to monitor employee transactions, headcount activity, onboarding, staffing changes, and other HR activities.
- Perform routine audits of employee data and HR records to identify discrepancies and support overall data integrity.
- Assist with employee data requests, reporting, and recurring HR processes by gathering, organizing, validating, and preparing information for review.
- Coordinate with Payroll, Benefits, IT, Operations, Finance, and other departments to ensure employee changes are communicated and executed accurately.
- Track outstanding actions and proactively follow up with employees, managers, and internal stakeholders to drive transactions to completion.
- Follow established HR processes and controls while identifying opportunities to simplify workflows, eliminate unnecessary manual steps, and improve efficiency.
- Develop and maintain process documentation, checklists, templates, and standard operating procedures as HR processes continue to evolve.
- Provide administrative and project support for compensation cycles, organizational changes, HR audits, employee communications, and other HR initiatives.
- Respond to routine employee and manager questions and route more complex matters to the appropriate HR team member.
- Support additional HR projects and responsibilities as needed in a rapidly growing and evolving organization.

Experience & Education
- 1–3 years of experience in Human Resources, HR operations, payroll or benefits administration, recruiting coordination, data administration, or another high-volume transactional environment.
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.
- Demonstrated experience performing high-volume data entry or transactional processing with a strong emphasis on accuracy.
- Strong Microsoft Excel skills and comfort working with large amounts of employee or business data.
- Experience maintaining trackers, reconciling information, and working across multiple systems or data sources.
- Ability to manage multiple deadlines and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Experience with an HRIS, ATS, payroll system, or similar enterprise system preferred.
- Ability to learn new systems, workflows, and processes quickly.
