Job Description

POSITION SUMMARY

At AWP Safety, the human resources (HR) team is focused on what people need and how to provide it, while upholding our core values of Ownership, Trust, and Teamwork. We’re searching for a qualified and resourceful Human Resources Coordinator to support our department in ensuring smooth and efficient business operations. The Human Resources Coordinator will have both administrative and strategic responsibilities and will be involved in a variety of human resources initiatives across several HR verticals.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Be the main champion to help lead employee relations, engagement process and activities in partnership with management, including but not limited to Onboarding, NHO, Employee Experience/Exit Surveys, Promotion Process, etc.
  • Implement programs and policies on procedures, incentives, and new hire orientation
  • Responsible for curating a positive employee experience (orientation, development, and training)
  • Utilize employee-related databases and prepare reports necessary to carry out functions of the department
  • Promote and participate in the planning and implementation of communication strategies which deliver accurate, consistent and timely information on business issues and employee concerns
  • Responsible for personnel records, I-9 compliance, and benefits records.
  • Ensure all personnel document forms are properly distributed to department managers in a timely manner
  • Educate and coach management on company policies, work rules, as well as applicable federal and state regulations, to ensure consistent delivery of human resources services and compliance.
  • Comply with and protect the interest of employees and the company in accordance with policies and governmental laws and regulations
  • Ensure employee services and counseling are in place, employee safety, welfare, wellness, and health
  • Performs other job-related duties as assigned

Qualifications

REQUIREMENTS

  • 1-3 years of Human Resources experience
  • Experience in working with variety of HR technology platforms
  • Experience building relationships and supporting geographically dispersed operations leadership
  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience
  • Ability to multi-task
  • Strong oral and written communication skills, including both in person and virtually
  • Ability to act with professionalism, integrity, and confidentiality.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite

WORK ENVIRONMENT AND PHYSICAL DEMANDS

The employee must be able to successfully handle the physical demands of this position, which include but are not limited to the following:

  • Hours of operation may vary based on needs of the business, primarily Monday-Friday, day shift
  • Primarily sedentary or working at a desk
  • Occasionally lift and move 10-25 pounds
  • While performing duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear
