As a mission-driven, nonprofit organization serving the Texarkana area since 1996, we offer a full continuum of care, including Independent Living, Assisted Living, Memory Support, Health Care and Home Health services in a warm and welcoming environment.

Cornerstone is seeking an experienced and people-focused Human Resources Coordinator to support our team of more than 150 employees. As a part of the community's leadership team, you'll serve as a trusted advisor to managers and employees, helping cultivate a workplace where people feel valued, supported, and connected to our mission and values. You'll play a key role in onboarding, employee engagement, leadership coaching, and fostering a culture that makes Cornerstone a great place to work.

The Human Resources Coordinator reports directly to the Executive Director and is supported by the VP of Human Resources in the corporate office.


What You'll Do

  • Collaborate with community leadership to drive employee engagement, retention, and workforce development initiatives.
  • Lead the onboarding process for all new hires, ensuring a welcoming, consistent, and engaging experience that sets employees up for long-term success.
  • Ensure compliance with HR regulations, employment laws, and organizational policies.
  • Provide guidance and support on employee relations, performance management, coaching, and development.
  • Coordinate with corporate teams regarding payroll, benefits administration, safety programs, unemployment, and leave management.
  • Lead employee recognition, appreciation, and culture-building initiatives that strengthen team member engagement.
  • Partner with leaders to identify training and development opportunities that support employee growth and organizational success.
Qualifications
  • 3+ years of experience in human resources management
  • Strong Microsoft Office Skills
  • Paycom experience a plus
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills
  • Ability to analyze data and metrics to inform HR decisions
