The Opportunity

We’re looking for an experienced part-time (4 days per week) HR Business Partner to join our NSW People team, supporting Port Macquarie Private Hospital and a broader portfolio including Coffs Harbour, Armidale and Tamworth.

Please note: this role is also open to applicants based in Coffs Harbour.

This is a true generalist role with scope - you’ll partner closely with leaders, influence workforce strategy, and drive meaningful people outcomes across multiple sites.

You build credibility quickly, provide clear and balanced advice, and are comfortable navigating complex ER matters while coaching leaders to achieve the right outcomes. Commercially minded and hands-on, you’re someone who can partner effectively across multiple sites and bring consistency, professionalism, and sound judgement to every interaction.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Partner with leaders on performance, ER/IR, and complex case management
  • Deliver HR initiatives aligned to local and national priorities
  • Coach and uplift leadership capability across your portfolio
  • Lead culture and organisational development initiatives
  • Support workforce planning, engagement, and retention strategies
  • Provide guidance on IR matters, including compliance and negotiations

This role involves regular travel across sites.

What You’ll Bring

  • 3+ years’ experience in HR Business Partnering or Industrial Relations
  • Relevant tertiary qualification (HR, IR or similar)
  • Strong experience managing complex cases and ER/IR matters
  • Proven ability to influence and build relationships at all levels
  • A practical, solutions-focused approach with strong coaching capability
