Human Resources Assistant
Assist human resources managers and representatives and compile, maintain and process information relating to staffing, recruitment, training, performance evaluations and clarifications. Has responsibility for employment, insurance, Workers' Compensation and other human resource documentation, maintains records on sick leave, vacation and other absences, handles personnel-related inquiries and reference checks, may compile statistics for management's use.

Performance Expectations
· Ensure compliance with all legislative requirements in the facility’s geographic location and:
o The Global Operating System Plays;
o OHSAS 18001:2007 Health and Safety management system standard;
o ISO 14001:2004 Environmental Management system standard;
o TS 16949 Technical Specification Management and Linamar Quality Basics system standards.
· Support, Foster, Promote and Demonstrate Linamar’s Core Values and Leadership Behaviors.
· Maintain balance between customer, employee and financial satisfaction by maximizing facility/department Performance Indicators to align to Linamar’s Stepping Stool of Success Strategy.
· Support and maintain department lean initiatives as set out in LPS system requirements.
o Maintain department 5S requirements.
· Coordinate the recruitment, interviewing, and selection of employees to fill vacant positions
· Plan for hiring needs by continually interviewing potential candidates
· Performs training needs analysis utilizing the employee database
· Coordinates and monitors training programs
· Coordinates and monitors performance evaluation packages for employees and tracks progress for management utilizing spreadsheets and charts
· Prepares and posts all internal and inter-company job postings
· Prepares orientation packages for new hires, transfers, promotions and terminations
· Maintains employee files
· Records Attendance in InfoHR system
· Maintains InfoHR system
· Shift rotation and/or Split shifts required
· Generates monthly personnel and HR reports
Credentials
· Essential Skills
o Reading: 5
o Document Use: 3
o Numeracy: 3
· 2-3 years of Human Resources Administration experience preferred
· Experience working in a Manufacturing environment is considered an asset
· Knowledge and experience with training processes an asset
· Intermediate to advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office programs (i.e. Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook)
· Demonstrated organizational skills.
· Excellent communication skills, both oral and written.
· Able to work in a professional and co-operative manner with co-workers and management
