Service Contract Act (SCA) Position 

Hourly Rate: $18.38 - $20.00

Duties and Responsibilities 

  • The Human Resources Assistant is responsible for performing a variety of clerical and administrative duties relating to personnel, benefits, compensation, and employee relations activities.
  • The Human Resources Assistant maintains up-to-date and organized HR files, e.g., confidential, personnel, medical, training, I-9, driver’s license, and insurance paperwork.
  • Assists with processing paperwork for new hires and terminations, including retirement report and forms when applicable.
  • Assists with advertising all open positions available on-center with Job Bid Program and off-center resources.
  • Assists with conducting benefits enrollment and orientation for new employees and informing new employees of available insurance benefits, procedures, etc.
  • Maintains the chronological training log and individual training records for all employees.

Qualifications

  • High School diploma or GED required.
  • Two (2) years’ related experience in Human Resources preferred.
  • Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record preferred.
  • Required to pass a drug screen in compliance with our Substance Abuse and Drug-Free Workplace policy.
  • Employment is contingent upon successful completion of a nationwide criminal background check.
