The HR
Officer will primarily support the delivery of the company's HR Consultancy services to
member organizations, including HR & Policy Manual development and
Disciplinary Procedures, while also providing support in HR compliance audits,
third-party investigations, industrial relations management, and training. The
role entails strengthening HR systems, ensure legal compliance, and promote
sound employment practices within the agricultural sector.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
a) HR Consultancy Support Services -Support the development and review of
HR & Policy Manuals, Disciplinary Procedures, and other HR tools (employee
handbooks, recruitment guidelines, performance management frameworks, job
descriptions, leave policies), and
assist in preparing consultancy proposals and reports.
b) HR Compliance
Audits -Support HR compliance audits and assist in compiling audit reports and
recommendations.
c) Third-Party
Investigations and Whistleblowing Support - Support investigations into
workplace grievances and whistleblower reports.
d) Industrial
Relations Management Support - Support handling of industrial relations matters
and assist in CBA negotiation preparations.
e) Training Support-
Support coordination and delivery of the organization's training programs.
f) General - Maintain
accurate records, support good working relationships with members, and perform
other duties as assigned from time to time
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
- CHRP (K) certification (Mandatory)
- Membership with IHRM (Mandatory)
- Bachelor's Degree in Human Resource Management, Law,
Business Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum of 2–4 years' relevant HR experience,
preferably including exposure to HR consultancy, audits, investigations,
or industrial relations.
- Sound knowledge of Kenyan labour laws and
employment practices, particularly within the agricultural sector.

- Excellent report writing and documentation
skills.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills,
with the ability to engage confidently with member organizations and
stakeholders.
- High level of integrity, confidentiality, and
professionalism.
- Good organizational and time management skills,
with ability to manage multiple assignments.
- Willingness and ability to travel Locally as
required.
The HRO will report directly to the Head
of Legal.
Skills Required
