Zero Zone is a manufacturer of reach-in and open refrigerated and frozen food display cases as well as the refrigeration systems that work behind the scenes to cool the cases, keeping the food fresh! We also make powerful industrial refrigeration systems for food warehousing, pharmaceuticals, and even ice rinks!
Our company is structured across 2 divisions – the Display Case Division, located in North Prairie, WI, Waukesha, WI, and Mukwonago, WI and the Refrigeration Systems Division, located in Ramsey, MN and Dyersville, IA.

Job Summary:
The HR Generalist will administer strategies, policies, and programs relating to all phases of human resource activity within the company by working closely with functional department heads to ensure the HR strategy is supported in the overall business strategy, under the direction of the Divisional Human Resources Manager.
Responsibilities include but not limited to the following:
- Participate in the development, implementation, and interpretation of Human Resource policies, practices and procedures
- Manage employee relations activities and communications, maintaining positive work environment
- Investigate and resolve employee complaints, providing coaching and facilitation as needed
- Assist with the creation, development and implementation of employee training programs to meet current and future business needs and maintain employee training records
- Maintain human resource information system records and compiles reports from the database
- Act as a key company representative in community relations, establishing a strong presence in the local community
- Responsible for talent acquisition in line with budgeted expectations and organizational goals, tracking of applicant data, and reporting as needed
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of federal and state employment law and compliance requirements
Minimum Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources or Business is preferred
- Minimum of five (5) years of experience in human resources within a manufacturing environment
- In-depth knowledge of general human resources policies and procedures as well as experience administering safety programs
- Proficiency in a HRIS system and MS Office Suite
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, team-oriented approach and ability to establish rapport and trust quickly
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to prioritize and multi-task
- High level of confidentiality and integrity
Skills Required
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or Business
- At least five years of human resources experience in a manufacturing environment
- In-depth knowledge of general human resources policies and procedures
- Experience administering safety programs
- Proficiency with an HRIS system
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Team-oriented approach and ability to establish rapport and trust quickly
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to prioritize and multitask
