This position reports to:
Hub Europe Sustainability & HSE Manager__
In this role, you will play an active role in driving Health, Safety & Environment (HSE) excellence, supporting the continuous improvement of our HSE process while ensuring full compliance with regulations and ABB policies.
You will contribute to build a strong safety culture, empowering teams and making a real impact on operational performance.
You will support Country HSE lead organization to ensure that fiduciary risks are managed and addressed through the Country HSE Board meetings.
The work model for the role is: Li-Hybrid this role is contributing to the Smart power business.
You will be mainly accountable for:
Contribute to the implementation of Legal requirements, ABB HSE policies
Support the analysis and reporting of HSE performance, helping drive data‑based decisions and contributing to a proactive safety approach
Ensure alignment with local regulations and ABB standards within your area of responsibility
Collaborate with cross‑functional teams and HSE partners to continuously improve HSE practices
Promote HSE awareness and engagement, strengthening commitment across the organization
Support the HSE Lead team and internal functions (e.g., Procurement, HR) in HSE activities, including supplier relationship management and the handling of connected administrative processes
Drive behavioral change initiatives and support improvement programs
Foster an open and safe working environment, encouraging people to speak up
Contribute to electrical safety assessments and preventive risk management
Support environmental performance initiatives, contributing to sustainability objectives
Qualifications:
You have at least 3 years of experience in HSE Roles within industrial, manufacturing, or energy sectors.
Strong knowledge of HSE regulations, standards, and best practices.
You hold a Technical Diploma or bachelor’s degree STEM fields.
Strong knowledge of electrical safety.
You are highly skilled in working with main M Office tools.
Legal requirements under Italian law to be appointed as RSPP, including the relevant qualifications and certifications and professional HSE certifications (e.g., NEBOSH, IOSH) are preferred.
Safety-first mindset and ethical approach and team-oriented with strong collaboration skills.
Adaptability in dynamic and operational environments and results-driven with continuous improvement focus.
You are passionate about managing complex issues and work in cross-functional teams with a collaborative, transparent, solution-focused approach and strong written and spoken communication
You are at ease communicating in Italian and English.
