The Role
Are you meticulous with details and driven by process excellence? We are seeking a dedicated HRIS Specialist to join our Human Resources team onsite at our partner institution, specializing in maintaining accurate records, following established protocols, and ensuring consistency in employment practices and HRIS management. 

The HRIS Specialist is responsible for maintaining and managing the Human Resources Information System (Colleague) to ensure accurate and timely data entry for all employment-related transactions. This role focuses on creating position ID codes for new hire positions, entering stipends, and setting up contractor and temporary positions. The HRIS Specialist ensures data integrity, compliance, and supports HR operations through efficient system management.

Responsibilities

  • Position & Data Management
  • Create and maintain position ID codes for new hire positions.
  • Set up contractor and temporary positions in Colleague.
  • Enter stipends and other compensation adjustments accurately.
  • Maintain employee records and ensure data integrity.

  • System Administration & Compliance
  • Troubleshoot HRIS issues and collaborate with IT for solutions.
  • Implement system updates and enhancements as needed.
  • Ensure all position and pay data comply with institutional policies and legal requirements.

  • Reporting & Collaboration
  • Generate accurate reports for HR leadership as requested.
  • Provide support and guidance to HR team members on HRIS functionality.
  • Collaborate with HR and IT teams to improve processes and maintain system efficiency.

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Education 
  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in HR, Business, or related field.

  • Experience 
  • 2+ years of experience in HRIS administration (Colleague preferred).

  • Skills & Competencies 
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to manage high-volume data entry.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and HRIS systems.
  • Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills.

  • Core Competencies 
  • Technical Expertise: Skilled in HRIS systems and data management.
  • Attention to Detail: Ensures accuracy in position and pay data.
  • Problem-Solving: Ability to troubleshoot system issues effectively.
  • Collaboration: Works closely with HR and IT teams.
