The Role

Grand Canyon Education is currently seeking a Human Resources Information Systems (HRIS) Specialist. This position primarily focuses on improving existing HRIS processes and system functionality, maximizing technology capabilities, and providing excellent customer service to internal customers. 

 

Work you’ll do:

  • Provide support for Workday HCM, including researching and resolving system issues.
  • Communicate case status with users and ensure timely response and resolution of all issues.
  • Work with internal teams to identify root cause analyses for system issues and recognize process improvement opportunities across Workday.
  • Develop and distribute communications to users regarding instructions, system outages, and other changes.
  • Maintain data integrity in Workday by conducting regular data audits and cleanup efforts.
  • Successfully complete requests for data corrections, organizational moves, position updates, and other Workday-related requests.
  • Identify and create Workday job aids for end users.
  • Assist the HRIS team in testing system modifications.
  • Coordinates, schedules, and tracks progress of HRIS projects

 

Qualifications:

  • 2+ years' experience supporting HR-related systems and processes; Workday experience preferred.
  • Comprehensive knowledge in HR areas, including compensation, employee onboarding, payroll, recruiting, talent development, and timekeeping.
  • Self-starter with a collaborative attitude and strong time management and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong oral and written communication and active listening skills.
  • Exceptional attention to detail, resulting in work with a high level of accuracy.
  • Ability to appropriately handle sensitive information and maintain confidentiality.
  • Ability to complete tasks with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to effectively work with all levels of the organization.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced corporate environment.
  • Bachelor's degree
