The HR Specialist II - Workday/HRIS supports one or more centers of excellence within the Human Resources Department. These areas can include: Talent Acquisition, Compensation, Benefits, Business Partnering, Talent Development, and Shared Services. The HR Specialist can be responsible for one or more of the following areas: Onboarding, Metrics, Benefits, general HRIS transactional support in Workday, assisting associates with inquiries, Department Presentations Talent Development Course Offering Support and serve as an ISO Certification resource. Prior Experience with Workday preferred.

Location: Indianapolis, Indiana; we are seeking candidates that currently reside in the central Indiana region; within approximately a 70 mile range of Indianapolis. Our Central (Corporate) Office is located on the northwest side of Indianapolis. Position is Hybrid (a mix of remote & in-office, as well as any necessary business travel).

Responsibilities

  • Assist with Workday questions, testing, etc.
  • Ensure Workday system accessibility and timely resolution of HRIS issues.
  • Provide all HR teams & end users with Workday technical support, resolve technical issues and configurations for Workday
  • Coordinate with IT and other areas to ensure system accessibility and timely resolution of HRIS issues.
  • Process employees’ queries and respond in a timely manner
  • Support efforts around DEI, Associate Value Proposition, and culture.
  • Provide reporting, metrics or presentations as assigned.
  • Assist with achieving department goals.
  • Answer associate's questions pending the area of focus for the position.
  • Identify and understand issues, problems, and opportunities. Use effective approaches for choosing appropriate action or resolution.
  • Works on a variety of projects as assigned.
  • All other duties as assigned.

Skills and Experience

  • Thorough understanding of HR processes and policies
  • Experience with Workday preferred
  • Thorough knowledge of MS Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
  • Experience working in one or more HR disciplines
  • Effective organizational and interpersonal skills including written and verbal communication skills required.
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills with an acute attention to detail.
  • Ability to prioritize work and balance multiple projects.
  • Occasional travel may be required

Education and Qualifications

  • Associate degree, or equivalent work experience.
  • At least 2 years of HR or office experience.
