This critical role will manage and optimize the company’s Workday environment and HR technology ecosystem, with a strong focus on Workday integrations and technical development. As a key technical owner of Workday, this role will be responsible for designing, developing, maintaining, and optimizing integrations using Workday Studio, EIBs, Core Connectors, Workday Web Services, APIs, XML, and XSLT.

Workday & Integration Ownership: 

  • Serve as a technical subject matter expert for Workday, with primary responsibility for Workday integrations and Studio development.  
  • Design, develop, test, deploy, and maintain complex integrations between Workday and internal and third-party systems.  
  • Develop and support integrations using Workday Studio, EIB, Core Connectors, Workday Web Services, REST/SOAP APIs, XML, XSLT, and JSON.  
  • Lead integration design, development, troubleshooting, testing, deployment, and production support.  
  • Manage integration security, authentication, encryption, certificates, SFTP, and related technical requirements.  
  • Evaluate and optimize existing integrations for performance, scalability, reliability, and maintainability. System

Strategy and Optimization: 

  • Develop and execute a technical roadmap for Workday and related HR systems.  
  • Partner with HR and business leaders to translate requirements into scalable Workday and integration solutions.  
  • Continuously improve Workday functionality, workflows, integrations, and reporting capabilities.  
  • Support Workday releases, enhancements, testing, and technical upgrades.  
  • Evaluate new Workday capabilities and integration technologies to improve the HR technology ecosystem.

Data Management and Reporting: 

  • Ensure data integrity, security, and compliance across Workday and integrated systems.  
  • Develop and maintain Workday reports and integration data flows to support business requirements.  
  • Troubleshoot data and integration issues and perform root-cause analysis.  Partner with HR and IT to establish effective data and integration processes. 

Vendor and StakeholderCollaboration: 

  • Collaborate with IT, HR, Security, and business teams to design and implement technical solutions.  
  • Partner with third-party vendors and integration providers to support connected systems and resolve technical issues.  
  • Act as a technical advisor to HR leadership on Workday integrations, architecture, and best practices.

Team Leadership: 

  • Provide technical leadership and mentorship to HR systems and Workday integration resources.  
  • Establish development, testing, documentation, and support standards for Workday integrations.  
  • Provide guidance and support to HR team members and end users on Workday functionality and technical solutions

Required: 

  • 7+ years of experience in HR systems, HRIS, or enterprise applications, with significant Workday experience. 
  •  3+ years of hands-on experience developing Workday Studio integrations.  Strong experience with Workday Studio, EIBs, Core Connectors, and Workday Web Services.  
  • Experience with REST/SOAP APIs, XML, XSLT, XPath, JSON, and SFTP. 
  • Proven experience designing, developing, testing, deploying, and supporting Workday integrations.  
  • Strong understanding of Workday data, business processes, security, and reporting.  
  • Experience troubleshooting complex integration and data issues in production environments.  
  • Proven ability to translate business requirements into technical Workday and integration solutions.  
  • Strong project management, analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.

Preferred:

  • Workday Integration and/or Workday Studio certification.  
  • Experience with Workday Orchestrate, Workday Extend, or other Workday integration technologies.  
  • Experience integrating Workday with payroll, benefits, finance, ATS, IAM, or other enterprise platforms.  
  • Experience in a global SaaS or technology environment.  
  • Familiarity with source control, CI/CD, automated testing, or integration development standards. 
  • Knowledge of data security and compliance requirements.  
  • Experience mentoring Workday integration developers or technical HRIS resources
