POSITION PURPOSE 

The HRIS Manager is responsible for the administration, configuration, maintenance, and optimization of YPO's Human Resources Information System (HRIS). This role serves as the organization's functional expert for the HRIS platform, ensuring system reliability, data integrity, security, and effective support of HR business processes. 

 

Working closely with Human Resources, Payroll, Finance, IT, Talent Acquisition, and other stakeholders, the HRIS Manager administers HRIS, manages system updates and enhancements, develops reporting and analytics, and provides expert guidance to support business operations and an efficient user experience. 

 

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES  

HRIS Administration & Configuration 

  • Administer, configure, and maintain the HRIS platform, ensuring system performance, reliability, security, and data integrity. 
  • Serve as the primary functional subject matter expert (SME) for HRIS, providing guidance and support to HR and business stakeholders. 
  • Configure and maintain HRIS business processes, organizational structures, security roles, and system settings to support HR operations. 
  • Plan, test, and implement HRIS releases, configuration changes, and approved system enhancements. 

Data, Reporting & Compliance 

  • Develop, maintain, and distribute reports, dashboards, and analytics that support operational, compliance, and business decision-making. 
  • Maintain data governance through regular audits, data validation, security administration, and documentation to ensure system accuracy, confidentiality, and compliance. 
  • Develop and maintain HRIS documentation, including system configurations, business processes, and standard operating procedures to support consistency and business continuity. 

Stakeholder & Vendor Partnership 

  • Partner with Human Resources, Payroll, Talent Acquisition, Finance, IT, and other stakeholders to gather business requirements, troubleshoot issues, and implement system enhancements. 
  • Manage relationships with HRIS vendors and service providers, coordinating issue resolution, system enhancements, contract renewals, and ensuring invoices are reviewed, submitted, and processed in accordance with organizational policies. 
  • Provide end-user support and training, developing resources that promote effective use of HRIS and a positive user experience. 

Projects & Continuous Improvement 

  • Lead and manage HRIS-related projects from planning through implementation, coordinating cross-functional stakeholders, timelines, dependencies, risks, and deliverables to ensure successful execution and alignment with business needs. 
  • Identify opportunities to automate, simplify, and improve HR processes through effective use of HRIS functionality and system capabilities.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to communicate technical concepts, system impacts, risks, and recommendations clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences. 
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy, system integrity, and quality. 
  • Ability to work independently while proactively engaging stakeholders and communicating progress, risks, dependencies, and decisions. 
  • Demonstrated customer-service mindset with the ability to provide responsive, solutions-oriented support to system users. 
  • Ability to exercise sound judgment and maintain the confidentiality and integrity of sensitive information. 
  • Adaptable and comfortable working in a global, multicultural environment with changing priorities and business needs. 

 

EXPERIENCE/BACKGROUND 

Required: 

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Information Systems, Business Administration, or a related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience. 
  • Minimum of 5 years of HRIS experience, including administration and support. 
  • Experience configuring and maintaining business processes, security, reporting, and core HCM functionality.  
  • Experience developing reports, dashboards, and HR analytics. 
  • Experience supporting releases, testing, and system enhancements. 
  • Strong understanding of HR processes and data governance principles. 
  • Demonstrated experience managing multiple projects and priorities effectively in a collaborative environment. 

Preferred:  

  • Experience with integrations 
  • Experience supporting a global workforce. 
  • Experience working with Agile or other project management methodologies 
  • Familiarity with process management principles such as Six Sigma 

 

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS 

  • Ability to work flexible and/or extended hours as needed to support associates across multiple time zones. 
  • Ability to work for extended periods at a computer. 
  • Ability to travel domestically and internationally as needed (approximately 5%)

Compensation ranges are based on the associate's primary work location. Because this role may be filled in more than one country, the applicable ranges are listed below by location: 


For United States applicants: USD 101,000–129,000 annually
