The purpose of the HRIS Analyst is to execute and maintain the HRIS (Workday), ensuring accurate and secure handling of HR data within the system. This position focuses on supporting system functionality, generating reports, and ensuring compliance with data privacy regulations. Additionally, the role involves collaborating with stakeholders to implement system enhancements and troubleshoot technical issues.
Essential Functions:
- HR System Administration: Configure and maintain HRIS software, managing user access, security settings, and system preferences. Troubleshoot technical issues and provide user support to ensure seamless operation. Implement system upgrades, updates, and patches to enhance system performance and security.
- Data Management: Manage HR data within the HRIS, including employee records, benefits information, payroll data, and performance evaluations. Ensure data accuracy, integrity, and compliance with relevant regulations (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA). Perform data migration, extraction, and reporting to support HR functions and decision-making.
- Reporting & Analytics: Generate standard and custom reports using HRIS reporting tools to meet organizational needs. Analyze HR data and trends to provide actionable insights and support decision-making processes. Develop dashboards and metrics to track key HR performance indicators such as turnover rate and time-to-fill.
- System Integrations: Participate in HRIS integration projects, ensuring seamless connectivity with other systems like payroll, time and attendance, and performance management. Maintain data consistency across systems through effective integration methodologies.
- Compliance & Data Security: Ensure HRIS compliance with data privacy laws and regulations (e.g., GDPR, CCPA) and organizational data security standards. Execute data retention and deletion policies in accordance with legal requirements to protect sensitive HR data.
- Process Improvement: Identify opportunities to streamline HR processes through HRIS automation and optimization. Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and propose system enhancements. Implement process improvements, measuring their impact on efficiency and productivity.
- Project Management: Handle HRIS implementation and upgrade projects, developing project plans and tracking progress. Execute project timelines, budgets, and stakeholder expectations to ensure successful project delivery.
- Vendor Relationships: Liaise with HRIS vendors to resolve issues, request support, and manage vendor relationships.
- Confidentiality & Integrity: Maintain the highest standards of confidentiality and integrity in handling HR information. Adhere to ethical standards and professional codes of conduct, managing sensitive issues with discretion and professionalism.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Minimum of 1 year Workday HCM experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business or related field
- Strong collaboration and alignment skills with the ability to communicate effectively
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft products especially Excel
- Project Management – ability to assess, plan, prioritize, and implement HR solutions timely & effectively
