Job Description:

THE OPPORTUNITY

The HRIS Workday Analyst is responsible for the support and maintenance of the Workday Human Capital Management system, as well as other systems supported by the HRIS team. This position serves as a point of contact and subject matter expert for functional areas within the HCM system, such as Core HR, Performance, Compensation, Security, Business Processes, and Organization Management. This role is responsible for ensuring data integrity, testing, changes, and analyzing data flows for process improvement opportunities. The HRIS Analyst also supports HCM upgrades, patches, testing, and other technical projects as assigned.

RESPONSIBILITIES

•Lead annual performance and merit compensation process within Workday HCM including stakeholder interviews, process development, testing and support
•Provide functional system support for end users.
•Plan and execute projects while providing ongoing progress communication and status updates.
•Maintain a high level of system and process expertise and understanding of core HR systems.
•Understand and use expertise of available data elements to develop creative solutions and recommendations.
•Build strong partnerships and collaborate with the team, key business partners, and Scholastic Technology Services (STS) in day to day work and issue resolution.
•Develops and maintains documentation of HR systems business processes.
•Configure and maintain Workday Core Tenant and Business functionality including business processes, custom objects, calculated fields, notifications, custom organizations, organizational hierarchies and other configuration as needed.
•Responsible for data review and monitoring.
•Participate in the ongoing design, configuration, deployment and maintenance of Workday configuration
•Diagnose and resolve issues (end-user, business process, security, etc.) and create tools or job aids for users in areas of expertise (reporting, business processes, etc.)
•Develop and maintain simple to complex custom Workday reports (Advanced, Matrix, Composite) using Workday Report Writer 
•Run and distribute scheduled reports and support business requests for ad hoc report generation
•Oversee the daily operation of our Workday HRIS Systems and Mailbox
•Monitor and support inbound/outbound Workday HCM integrations to third party vendors including payroll and benefits providers.
•Develop data upload templates to support business needs and perform uploads into Workday as needed (EIB)
•Supports Workday HCM by researching and resolving issues, testing solutions and communicating resolution with customers
•Analyze errors and utilize resources such as Workday community to drive resolutions and identify root cause
•Develop simple test plans and project plans for upgrades/new functionality
•Actively participate in Workday Community by contributing to content, voting on Brainstorms, etc.
•Develop training document related to Workday updates
•Performs other duties as assigned

Qualifications

HOW YOU CAN FIT (Qualifications)

EXPERIENCE
•Four-year degree or equivalent experience
•3-5 years of related experience configuring business processes, reports and creating EIBs in Workday HCM 
•Demonstrated experience and knowledge in systems management (configuration, business process, security)
•Knowledge of Ceridian Dayforce and/or Kronos Timekeeping system preferred
•Strong problem solving skills
•Strong system skills and technical aptitude/interest
•Ability to facilitate communication between business and technology teams
•Delivers timely and quality work while demonstrating effective work prioritization
Workday experience preferred

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS

• Experience and knowledge of HCM, Performance, Compensation, Security and Benefits
•Understanding of object oriented architecture
•Outstanding customer service skills
•Basic knowledge of Workday domains, data structures and reporting functional areas (e.g. within Core HCM, Reporting, Compensation, Talent, Benefits and Payroll).
•Ability to collect, organize, analyze and disseminate information with attention to detail and accuracy
•Ability to consult with stakeholders and identify metrics and interpretation needed in deliverables
•Proficiency with MS Excel & MS PowerPoint (creating graphics, charts)
•Self-motivated with a focus on driving results and strong sense of accountability
•Experience supporting a global customer base
