Position Summary
The HRIS Analyst will be a key member of the HR Operations team, delivering work that will support workforce analytics, compliance, and engagement through the power of technology. The HRIS Analyst will report to the HR Technology & Employee Experience manager, supporting daily activities and strategic efforts for Caris Life Sciences’ workforce operational needs. The HRIS Analyst will primarily focus on workforce reporting, data management, documentation, and technical support across various system areas, including HCM, Scheduling, Talent Development, Performance Management, Recruiting, Compensation, Time Tracking, Absence, Benefits, and Payroll. Over time, the HRIS Analyst will have the opportunity to learn business process configuration and gain exposure to additional modules, setting a path to develop and optimize HR information systems.
Job Responsibilities
Analytics
-
Develop, maintain, and enhance complex custom reports and dashboards in Workday to support HR and business operations across all modules (e.g. Advanced Reports, Dashboards, Workday Hubs, etc.).

Ensure accurate data management by conducting regular audits of HRIS data to ensure accuracy and reliability, promptly addressing any discrepancies for key modules (e.g. Security, Schedules, Employee Personnel Files, Job Descriptions, Position Management, etc.).

Support data migrations, including uploading mass datasets, corrections, or performing ad-hoc transactions for HR operational needs.

Assist in the design, creation, and delivery of quarterly, semi-annual, and annual HR reports for senior leadership, summarizing the organization’s workforce accomplishments through HRIS data analytics.

Audit integration occurrences between Workday and other enterprise systems (e.g. Okta, Salesforce, Shareworks, DISQ, LinkedIn, etc.).
Compliance

Assist in quarterly access reviews to ensure Workday configurations, security, and processes comply with relevant federal, state/local labor laws, regulations, and company policies.

Collaborate with HR, internal audit teams, and external partners to perform security assessments, vulnerability testing, and ensure that Workday complies with all relevant compliance frameworks (e.g., SOX, GDPR, EEO, etc.).

Regularly audit Workday system security to ensure that confidential employee data is protected and that security standards are met.

Assist in maintaining security protocols within Workday, within Workday, including setting up and managing user access, roles, and permissions in compliance with the organization’s security policies.
Engagement

Partner with HR teams to enhance the employee experience for system driven programs, processes, and campaigns through notifications, alerts, reports, dashboards, and trainings (e.g., Workday Gigs, Announcements, Workday Hubs, Emerging Leaders, Talent Reviews, Employee Reviews, etc.).

Work closely with the HR Technology Manager to partner with business leaders and ensure Workday can accommodate their workforce needs, frustrations, initiatives, and strategies.

Help promote new enhancements and features to the organization through live demonstrations, announcements, workshops, and training sessions (e.g., Workday Wednesdays, Workday Newsletters, Workday Messaging, etc.).

Design, deliver, and maintain Workday training materials and user guides for new and existing Workday functionality.
Optimization

Provide technical support and resolve critical Workday issues, addressing system-related concerns and advising the HR team and business on best practices.

Support the maintenance of business processes, workflows, reports, and security roles in Workday to meet organizational needs (e.g. Workday Hubs, Custom Reports, Business Process Definitions, etc.).

Partner with their manager to identify employee experiences to automate and improve, reducing manual tasks and enhancing overall efficiency.

Actively gather and analyze real-time user feedback to pinpoint system enhancements that align with user needs and drive an exceptional employee experience.
Development

Support the enhancements of various Workday configurations, including configurations for HCM, Scheduling, Talent Development, Performance Management, Recruiting, Compensation and Time Tracking.

Work alongside the HR Technology Manager to deliver solutions that will address the organization’s workforce needs, including enhancements for existing modules and the implementation of new modules (e.g. Labor Optimization, Learning, Help, etc.).

Design user guides, training materials, and process documentation that can be easily referenced in Workday and improve system adoption.
Qualifications & Experience

Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Information Technology, Business Administration, or a related field required.

1-3 years of experience supporting or using HRIS systems, with hands-on experience in system reporting, configurations, and troubleshooting required.

Extensive experience with data management, analysis, and modeling in systems or Microsoft Excel required.

Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot and resolve system issues independently through logic and reasoning required.

A strong interest in developing a career in HR technology and analytics required.

Strong communication skills, with the ability to translate technical information into business-friendly terms for non-technical stakeholders required.

Attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy and integrity required.

Strong technical understanding of Workday configuration and functionality, including business processes, integrations, and security strongly preferred.
Other

Position requires periodic travel and working some evenings, early mornings, weekends and/or holidays.

Ability to work in a hybrid work environment (work from home and office) at Irving, TX.
