Overview

We are seeking a full-time Technical Recruiter for our headquarters in the greater Kansas City area. In this role, you will be responsible for serving as subject matter expert for mid to upper level management in the recruitment, interviewing and hiring for experienced technical positions.

Responsibilities

Essential Functions

  • Proactively recruit, screen and interview for experienced positions in assigned business segments including reviewing candidate applications, resumes, and transcripts for a solid match with job requirements
  • Leverage relationships with stakeholders to proactively understand needs for assigned positions including developing knowledge of new technologies and products that could influence future recruitment needs
  • Ensure data integrity by attaching accurate, complete and thorough documentation and tracking for each candidate in Garmin's ATS and knowledge sharing on best practices
  • Participate in analysis and review of recruitment statistics to recommend future recruitment investments for achievement of HR tactical and strategic goals
  • Conduct candidate searches using existing sourcing options (job boards, social media, networks, ATS) to connect with and develop candidate interest and seek out new sourcing options for consideration by recruitment leadership team
  • Participate in the annual creation of a strategic sourcing plan for assigned business segment(s)
  • Proactively researches innovative recruitment strategies and programs and recommends suggestions to recruitment leadership on creative plans for recruitments events, job fairs, presentations and other recruitment activities
  • Partner with Senior Technical Recruiter to learn about and assist with recruitment for international offices
  • Provide solid contributions and think critically and proactively on ways to improve recruitment programs, systems and processes to stay cutting edge
  • Proactively mentors/provides training for less experienced team members (TR 1 & 2)
  • Manage complex medium to large recruitment projects
  • Develop knowledge in other HR business functions (benefits, HRIS, training, compensation, wellness, strategy)
  • Explore solutions and serve as a liaison with recruitment related vendors
  • Demonstrate exemplary customer service and accountability to customers for ensuring a quality workforce while achieving recruitment goals, and departmental and individual KPIs
  • Ensures compliance with HR related legislation and regulations and Garmin HR policies with oversight from HR management and Legal
  • Provides reliable solutions to a wide range of difficult problems using sound problem solving techniques and applies good judgment in setting schedules and risk taking


Qualifications

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources, Business, Psychology, or related field AND a minimum of 5 years relevant work experience OR a Master's Degree in HR, Business or related field AND a minimum of 3 years relevant experience OR an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Excellent academics (cumulative GPA greater than or equal to 3.0 as a general rule)
  • Demonstrated strong and effective verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills and demonstrated effective presentation skills and public speaking ability
  • Demonstrated commitment and passion for recruitment with a focus in producing quality work
  • Proven track record demonstrating accountability and achievement of department/individual KPIs
  • Previous experience working with others to resolve problems or conflicts, demonstrated critical reasoning skills, and excellent follow-up skills
  • Demonstrated capacity to mentor or train others
  • Must possess previous experience and commitment to maintaining confidentiality regarding business and Human Resources matters
  • Must be positive, detail/quality oriented, organized, team oriented and a driven problem solver, multi-tasker, and self-starter with the ability to prioritize and manage time in a fast paced, deadline-driven environment
  • Demonstrated ability to leverage business knowledge/HR metrics in decision making
  • Flexibility to travel (up to 10% of time)

Desired Qualifications

  • AIRS or PHR certification
  • Master's Degree
