Senior Manager, Global Benefits (International)
About the Role:
This is an exciting opportunity for you to join our Udemy People Operations team in a key Senior Manager, Global Benefits role focused on International locations. We are seeking an experienced, action-oriented individual who will work across our Global People team and in partnership with other organizational stakeholders such as Finance, IT, Legal, etc… You will leverage your deep experience and understanding of global benefits plans and offerings, including local statutory requirements to provide thought partnership and execution of these significant programs and initiatives. With your passion for continuous improvement and driving an amazing employee experience, you will be part of our exceptional team of benefits professionals supporting our global employees.
Here's what you’ll be doing:
- Be a thought leader in helping us develop and execute on our roadmap for our global benefits and retirement strategy against market best practices in alignment with our business goals and company culture
- Implement long-term programs for our total global benefits offerings
- In alignment with our Total Rewards philosophy, manage and provide leadership in the oversight of innovative benefits, wellness, and retirement programs, that are inclusive and equitable for all employee populations to attract and retain diverse top talent globally
- Develop our Global Benefits team, providing people management, talent development and growth opportunities
- Develop tools and communication vehicles that increase employee engagement and understanding of global benefit programs and the value they deliver
- Work closely with brokers globally to evaluate and benchmark our benefits programs based on global industry trends and best practices to ensure competitiveness in market
- Ensure compliance with global and local requirements such as regional, country, federal, state, and local regulatory requirements
- Partner and drive the execution of benefit annual renewals and enrollment processes, for a variety of countries involved in all phases of renewal discussions, benefits communication, and change management plans
- Proved leave management support, reporting, vendor management (as applicable based on country) and policies
- Participate in the digital transformation of benefits programs as we evolve our Shared Service model
- Lead/participate in ad hoc projects and other activities related to our global benefit programs, including M&A and establishing new entities
We’re excited about you because you’ll have:
- Bachelor’s Degree in HR or related discipline preferred with 8+ years of progressive HR leadership experience developing and scaling a global benefits function for a high-growth company.
- Certified Benefits Professional (CBP) or CEBs accreditation is a plus
- You have demonstrated experience in making sound recommendations for developing and managing benefits and wellness programs through policies, processes, and systems
- Demonstrated people management skills and experience in establishing, developing and growing a globally distributed team
- You are able to assess and manage benefits vendors and parties to develop strategic partnerships
- You have experience in developing benefits programs for regions such as EMEA and APAC with design, employee experience administration, and compliance needs addressed
- Skilled in managing global health and welfare insurance offerings, retirement programs, leave management and compliance requirements across various countries
- Experience with a global recognition program design and administration
- Excellent presentation, organizational and communication skills
Salary range is $122k - $184k (DOE) + Equity + Benefits (see below)

- Holidays: 10 paid holidays throughout the year; during COVID-19, Udemy also provides roughly one “Wellness Day” per month while working from home.
