The Learning & Development Specialist is responsible for designing, developing, and delivering learning experiences and programs. Keys to success in this role include liaising with support departments such as Communications, Marketing, and Training, ensuring execution of learning and development initiatives and goals, and providing expertise for recommending strategies and enhancements to Company business units.

Responsibilities:

  • Analyzes business needs and recommends appropriate learning solutions; designs, develops, and delivers courses with delivery options including instructor-led, webinar, e-learning, and blended learning solutions.
  • Creates marketing-style communications processes for initiatives assigned; coordinates the development of materials to ensure branding and messaging consistency; evaluates program effectiveness and commits to continuous improvement based on recorded metrics.
  • Liaises with Training for Learning Management System and eLearning distribution to employees
  • Liaises with Communications and Marketing for proper branding and messaging consistency
  • Performs as a primary facilitator for onboarding, employee development, performance management, culture, and core competency programs
  • Builds effective relationships at all levels of the organization to ensure quality learning and development is provided to support business objectives.
  • Works closely with Leadership Development Advisors, management, subject matter experts, and vendor representatives to identify and execute learning initiatives; develops and maintains project status, program agendas, scheduling and calendars; consults with field regarding improvement and new ideas for employee and organizational development.



Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Education, Human Resources, Public Relations, Communication, Business, or a related field; or five (5) years of experience in a training design/development/delivery role.
  • 3-5 years' experience in design, development, delivery, and evaluation of training programs.
  • Minimum of two (2) years of experience with webinar or virtual classroom delivery programs. Leadership and organizational development experience preferred.
  • Minimum of two (2) years of experience with formal classroom facilitation of content, both in-person and virtually.
  • Minimum of two (2) years of experience with graphic design and/or materials creation software platforms - Canva preferred.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite; Office 365 experience.
  • Intermediate knowledge of Adobe Creative Cloud Suite: InDesign, Illustrator, and Final Cut Pro preferred.
  • Application of adult learning and instructional design principles.
  • Experience using a variety of needs assessment tools.
  • Experience in rapid e-learning development using authoring tools such as Articulate 360 Suite and Adobe Captivate preferred.
  • Learning Management System experience preferred.
  • Real estate, property management, construction, maintenance, or financial services industry experience preferred.
  • Ability to conduct research and apply relevant information to learning programs that support organizational effectiveness
  • Ability to meet tight deadlines and effectively prioritize and juggle multiple concurrent projects
  • Must have a strong work ethic and a positive attitude; dependable, require minimal supervision
  • APTD credentials or equivalent preferred, but not required
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Results-driven achiever with exemplary planning and organizational skills, along with a high degree of detail orientation
  • Robust assessment, analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills
