HR Business Partner - R&D
Vicarious Surgical is looking to hire a Principal People Partner (HRBP) aligned with the R&D organization reporting to the VP, Head of People & Culture. In this newly created role, you will focus on the R&D Engineering business unit, providing guidance and thought leadership on all people related items. You will enable the business to make quick, well-informed, and data driven decisions.

Business partnering experience with Engineering teams is a must.
Responsibilities
- Coach and develop our managers to lead high-performing teams and grow our people.
- Serve as a trusted business partner to Engineering, providing thought leadership on organizational and people-related strategy and execution.
- Partner with your business leaders to roll out all key people processes across their function(s) (performance management, employee engagement, recognition, development programs, etc.).
- Be an objective resource and advocate, balancing employee and business advocacy.
- Solve problems and get to the root cause of any issue. Design and quickly implement solutions that cut across multiple disciplines, even those beyond people and organizational solutions.
- Manage employee relations issues with discretion and finesse while coaching and facilitating feedback.
- Partner with leaders to help forecast headcount needs and collaborate with Talent Acquisition to ensure we hire the right talent.
- Understand when to use data to identify and surface trends; ultimately improving organizational health.
- Build strong relationships through effective communication and collaboration with all levels of stakeholders.
- Maintain in depth knowledge of legal requirements related to day-to-day management of employees, reducing legal risks and ensuring compliance.
About You
- 8+ years working in a HR / HRBP function with specific experience supporting leadership in Engineering
- Medical device industry experience is desirable, but not required
- Strong understanding across HR / People domains including compensation, performance management, employee engagement and employee relations
- The ability to solve complex problems in a scalable way
- Demonstrated achievements in coaching, influencing, and developing managers
