About the role

Starburst is looking for an HR Associate to join our People team! The People team supports our dedicated All-Stars, leaders, and employee resource groups and helps weave our values and mission into all of our People programs. We are committed to investing in our employees’ growth, happiness and success.

Starburst is growing rapidly and recently surpassed 300 employees spread across 4 continents and 11 countries, and we’re not slowing down anytime soon! This role plays a crucial part in driving operational excellence across a wide variety of global people programs and will be instrumental in scaling processes and workflow to effectively and efficiently support a quickly growing global organization.

This is a remote opportunity reporting to our HR Partner. Candidates must be local to our HQ in Boston, MA as this role may require in-person meetings on occasion depending on local, state and federal regulations and recommendations pertaining to COVID-19.

In this role, you will be responsible for:

• Culture: Work with the HR team and company leaders to create a workplace where our employees can thrive and can be successful as their authentic selves. This could mean helping us improve or build out new programs, general employee support, and always representing our culture in the way you come to work.
• US Onboarding: Create and deliver onboarding programs to ensure every All-Star starts off on the right foot in their new role. 
• HRIS Administration: Maintain accurate data in our HRIS (UKG) and other HR tools and systems.
• Employee Support: Provide HR support and consultation to the business, answering employee and manager questions about HR programs, policies, and other HR-related items.
• Benefits & Wellness: Own all day-to-day activities related to benefits administration, leave management, and general employee support to ensure benefits are processed, questions are answered, and issues are resolved quickly.
• Collaboration: Partner with internal and external stakeholders to identify areas of opportunity and support greater efficiency and effectiveness across the entire HR organization.

What we are looking for:

• Previous HR experience, ideally within a high-growth, fast-paced environment
• A track record of personal accountability, strong work ethic and integrity
• Proven organizational skills with attention to detail and ability to prioritize effectively
• Solutions-oriented with a natural ability and high-capacity to implement and improve processes
• Strong communication skills and high emotional intelligence with an ability to build genuine relationships
• Naturally curious and excited to continually learn and stay up to date with HR topics
• Experience with HR Information Systems (UKG a plus!)
