THE CHALLENGE

Eventbrite’s goal of building the marketplace for live experiences relies on our foundation of world-class talent and unbeatable company culture. Hiring top talent in some of the most competitive markets globally is no easy task, but we have a creative and dedicated team who has helped Eventbrite scale to over 740 Britelings in 10 countries over the past 10 years.

We’re looking for a Director of Recruiting to own talent acquisition in EMEA and India and be a key member of the global TA Leadership Team. You will be a trusted partner to senior business leaders, collaborating with the business to meet the talent demands and build a diverse global workforce.

You are a leader who can connect Eventbrite’s vision, mission and story to implement and refine recruiting strategies to attract, recruit and hire top diverse talent for Eventbrite. You will lead, manage, and develop the EMEA and India talent acquisition teams to operate with a talent advisor mindset, building out the team to achieve the company's hiring priorities and driving a high level of performance across complex, dynamic businesses.

You will build strong, respectful relationships with senior leaders and other stakeholders through business knowledge across tech and non-tech functions. You will champion the Briteling experience and ensure this is mirrored in the candidate and hiring manager experience we deliver as the company grows and scales. You have an entrepreneurial spirit and will bring game-changing innovation to how we go-to-market for talent in today’s competitive environment and going forward.

Our values are deeply rooted in building a strong employment brand and creating delightful candidate and hiring manager experiences. We believe people are our greatest asset and the talent we attract drives the success of Eventbrite.

Our Talent Acquisition team is tight-knit, quick-moving, and fun-loving. We believe recruiting should be a company-wide effort, candidate experience comes first, and that hiring should be based on relationships and not transactions. Each member of our team is invested in telling our company’s story, building our brand, and establishing new processes that challenge the traditional and often dated methods of recruiting.

THE ROLE

As a Director of Recruiting, you will mentor and grow an organization that is geographically dispersed across EMEA and India, building inclusion and accountability across the team and a cohesive culture across the organization. You will effectively lead a recruiting organization to deliver on hiring strategies for both tech and non-tech functions, coach and provide feedback on resourcing and strategic planning.

You are an empathetic leader that focuses on the person first; as such you are able to develop and motivate your team to approach their talent acquisition work in new and different ways. You will define, design, and implement scalable recruiting strategies, flexing for short and long term talent needs. You will use talent and market insights to influence sourcing strategies and impact company wide-diversity aspirations.

You are comfortable with using data to ensure the various regional recruiting programs and initiatives are delivering a phenomenal candidate experience and to influence business decisions. You will drive accountability to deliver against EMEA/India organizational goals across your direct team and through collaboration with talent acquisition teams in other regions, senior business leaders, and cross functional partners while increasing efficiency and productivity.

THE SKILLSET

  • Experienced: 7+ years of recruiting experience with a deep understanding of each step in the recruitment life cycle (sourcing and recruiting) and knowledge of how to go to market for both technical and nontechnical talent. 5+ years of people management experience, with the drive and willingness to engage, coach and collaborate with individuals at all levels.
  • Results Oriented: You have a proven track record of scaling capabilities within talent acquisition organizations and across global organizations while delivering consistent results under time pressures while navigating complexity and competing priorities. You have led recruiting-related initiatives for your teams that drive meaningful impact in workforce representation. You effectively balance growth and development of your team, team performance and working across time zones/asynchronously so that the team maintains a highly engaged and connected culture.
  • Strategic: You have an ability to build effective recruiting strategies that contribute to the organization and region’s hiring goals and ensure a healthy pipeline and access to diverse talent. You rely on data to drive decision making and stakeholder management. You connect business hiring priorities to company growth goals ensuring we hire right and not fast and with long term in mind.
  • Innovative: You regularly think outside the box and have an arsenal of ideas on how to go to market in the highly competitive and evolving talent markets and an unyielding passion to provide the ultimate candidate experience.
  • Interpersonal Communications Skills: This role will require a lot of listening and communicating with the team and stakeholders at various levels in the organization to bring everyone along on the journey. The ability to authentically communicate (written and verbally) in a succinct way that ensures clarity and shared goals is essential.
  • Influential: You have strong business acumen and proven experience in a senior leadership role partnering and influencing key stakeholders across the business in driving and aligning the talent acquisition strategy with company, function, and region strategy. You are analytical and metrics driven with the ability to derive insights from data and strategically build a narrative that influences and advances business decisions.
  • Flexible: You have experience building high performing teams. You have experience with an organization that has undergone significant growth, change, and/or international expansion.
