The Role

Knock CRM is excited to be hiring our first Director of Compensation and Total Rewards who will be responsible for the design, implementation, and ongoing evaluation of our compensation programs, including base and incentive pay, equity, benefits, career leveling, and performance management. In this role, it will be very important to partner closely with senior management to ensure that programs and strategies drive growth, attract/retain talent, optimize the workforce and drive productivity. The Team

The People & Culture team includes Talent, HR, Admin, and Office/Facilities Management. Our goals are around making employees and potential employees' lives easier. Day to Day

  • Direct the design, implementation and communication of all compensation, total rewards and benefits strategies, philosophies and programs, in collaboration with others, assuring internal equity and external competitiveness.
  • Provide leadership, guidance and direction while ensuring the deployment of the company's compensation programs including annual salary planning/merit increases process, salary structures, variable pay and other incentive programs to ensure alignment with company's goals, initiatives and budget.
  • Evaluate the effectiveness of existing compensation and benefit programs, policies and guidelines and ensure they are market competitive, cost effective, aligned with corporate goals and are in compliance with company policies, federal legislation and other government and regulatory requirements.
  • Conduct individual job audits and/or group classification surveys; analyze information gathered; prepare position descriptions, audit or survey reports and position evaluations; and provide recommended action.
  • Advise the HR and talent teams, hiring managers and senior leadership, serving as the first point of review for hiring offers, promotions, salary adjustments and job description changes.
  • Provide oversight, expertise and guidance to the HR team responsible for any type of program administration.

Qualifications

  • Certified Compensation Professional (CCP) or Certified Employee Benefit Specialist (CEBS) preferred.
  • Knowledge of legislation governing benefit plans (ERISA, COBRA, HIPAA, FMLA, PPACA).
  • Extensive knowledge of compensation and benefit programs with a minimum of 10 years of experience.
  • Financial ability to identify and implement cost-effective programs.
  • Demonstrated strong leadership experience with involvement in execution as well as the development of strategic initiatives.
  • Ability to effectively lead people and get results through others. In-depth knowledge and experience in effectively leading the wide-spectrum of compensation and benefits programs and practices which supports results-oriented business.
  • Nice to Have

  • Additional HR Certification via SHRM or HRCI designations
  • Worked in a hyper growth startup environment
