Position Summary:

The Workday Techno-Functional Senior Specialist/Lead is responsible for the administration, configuration, support, enhancement, and optimization of Workday solutions across Human Capital Management (HCM), Talent, Compensation, Absence, Time Tracking, Recruiting, Payroll, Benefits, and/or Reporting modules. This role combines functional HR process expertise with technical Workday capabilities to deliver system enhancements, integrations, reporting solutions, and operational support while ensuring data integrity, compliance, and an exceptional employee experience.

Key Responsibilities:

Workday System Administration

• Administer and maintain Workday HCM and related modules to support business and HR operational requirements.
• Configure and maintain business processes, security roles, notifications, calculated fields, condition rules, and custom validations.
• Support Workday semi-annual releases, feature adoption, regression testing, and impact assessments.
• Monitor system performance and recommend improvements to enhance functionality and user experience.

Functional Support & Configuration

• Partner with HR, Payroll, Talent Acquisition, Compensation, Benefits, Learning, and Finance teams to gather business requirements.
• Translate business needs into Workday functional and technical solutions.
• Configure Workday modules and ensure changes align with business processes and governance standards.
• Support organizational changes, restructures, acquisitions, and HR transformation initiatives.

Reporting & Analytics

• Design, develop, and maintain Workday reports, dashboards, scorecards, and analytics solutions.
• Create Advanced, Matrix, Composite, and Trending reports.
• Develop calculated fields and custom reporting solutions to support business decision-making.
• Ensure reporting accuracy and data consistency across Workday and downstream systems.

Integration Management

• Support Workday integrations using EIB, Core Connectors, Studio, RaaS, APIs, and third-party integration solutions.
• Monitor integration performance and troubleshoot failures.
• Partner with internal IT teams and external vendors to maintain integration stability.
• Support data migration, reconciliation, and interface testing activities.

Security & Data Governance

• Maintain Workday security domains, role-based security groups, and user access controls.
• Conduct periodic security reviews and audits to ensure compliance with governance requirements.
• Ensure data accuracy, integrity, and confidentiality across all Workday modules.
• Support compliance with internal controls, SOX, GDPR, and data privacy regulations where applicable.

Testing & Release Management

• Support Workday enhancement projects and business transformation initiatives.
• Develop and execute test scripts for configuration changes, releases, and integrations.
• Coordinate User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and defect resolution activities.
• Maintain test documentation and change management records.

Stakeholder Management & User Support

• Act as a subject matter expert (SME) for Workday-related matters.
• Provide functional and technical support to HR, managers, and employees.
• Deliver user training and develop system documentation and knowledge articles.
• Collaborate with global HR, IT, Finance, Payroll, and vendor teams.

Required Qualifications:

Education

Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources, Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Administration, or related field.

Experience

• 3–7 years of experience supporting Workday in a techno-functional capacity.
• Hands-on experience with Workday HCM and one or more modules such as: Core HCM, Recruiting, Talent & Performance, Compensation, Benefits, Absence, Time Tracking, Learning, Payroll, or Prism Analytics
• Experience with Workday integrations, reporting, and security configuration.
• Experience working in global or regional HR operations environments preferred.
