The Role

If so, CopperPoint has an exciting opportunity for an HR Talent Specialist in Phoenix, Arizona. The HR Talent Specialist will be the first point of contact for new employees, take the lead on our UKG Recruiting & Onboarding platform configuration, and serve as a key administrator for our employee Learning and Recognition Programs.

  • Recruitment
    • Partner with hiring managers to ensure utilization of resources to source and attract qualified candidates including UKG Recruiting and LinkedIn, serving as the main SME on building candidate pipelines.
    • Responsible for end-to-end offer process including delivery of verbal job offers (including negotiation), drafting of offer letters, and dispositioning of applicants.
    • Review applicants for further action. May do initial phone screening of candidates. Maintains calendars and schedules interviewing appointments.
    • Handles all communications with candidates.
  • Onboarding
    • Responsible for UKG Onboarding configurations for new hire Processes for the company's multi-state hiring.
    • Conduct reference checks, background checks, and other pre-employment screenings as needed.
    • Coordinates and schedules the New Employee Orientation in partnership with the Benefits Specialist.
    • Serves as liaison to connect new hires with appropriate HR Staff members to answer questions regarding examinations, eligibility, salaries, benefits, and other pertinent information.
    • Maintains and handles onboarding-related communication to stakeholders.
    • Publishes and communicates schedules, coordinates the process, and ensures up-to-date information and materials.
    • Ensures timely, accurate, and compliant completion/processing of new hire paperwork and requirements.
  • Recognition
    • Leads administration of the CopperPoint Employee award program including quarterly awards, years of service, and retirement awards.
    • Responsible for all communication with leaders on written nominations, executive review of nominations, distribution of award monies, and coordination with the corporate communication team.
  • Learning
    • Administer and maintain the UKG Learning management system for curriculum development, tracking of training and development opportunities, compiling relevant reports for learning, and allocating appropriate licenses for new hires.
    • Responsible for monthly reports for the Blue Ocean Brain platform.
    • Assist with department projects to execute priorities and strategies that may require flexibility and prioritization of work.
    • May serve as a resource and support to HR Talent Acquisition Manager.
    • Completes special projects and performs other duties as assigned.

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.
  • 2+ years of experience in talent acquisition or recruitment.
  • Thorough knowledge of policy and process development/improvement, data analysis, compensation/recruitment concepts & practices to make recommendations, to affect user efficiency.
  • Strong understanding of recruitment techniques and best practices.
  • Excellent communication including verbal and written, interpersonal, and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks, manage multiple projects, and meet deadlines.
  • Proficiency in applicant tracking systems (ATS) and other recruitment tools.
  • Knowledge of employment laws and regulations related to recruitment and hiring.
  • Knowledge of principles and procedures for recruitment, selection, training, compensation and benefits, negotiation, and HRIS.
  • Ability to use logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions, or problem approaches.
  • Ability to develop behavioral-based questions for interviewing for various organizational specialties and positions.
  • Intermediate to senior-level skills in Microsoft Office suite and HRMS technology.
