About the HR Systems Analyst
Reporting to the People Function Product Owner this role supports the team ensuring Hiscox uses Workday and other People Technology platforms effectively. The role will be a Workday SME, delivering configuration for People Administration, BAU activities, and People Technology Projects. It will be responsible for delivering the business needs to design new or modify existing configuration in conjunction with the People Systems team and 3rd party vendors. The role requires good technical skills and will be expected to support with hands on configuration, as well as taking high level requirments through elaboration, and refinement to understand the detailed system changes required to satisfy our stakeholders needs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Working with the People Systems team to manage Workday change
- Supporting Workday release management cycles on a monthly and biannual basis
- Support in presenting new Workday configuration both verbally and through written guides
- Represent the people technology product team on project teams, where People systems are impacted.
- Join working groups and support the People functions cyclical activities that require People Systems enablement.
- Configuration changes of current functionality globally
- Responsibility for the annual cycle of People processes where there are any Workday touch points. This will include working with the business to gather requirements, configure, test and deliver through yourself or others
- To support in the review of our current processes, and tenant health to ensure we remain efficient and compliant.
- Problem solving as and when required for 2nd level People support
- Ensure we remain GDPR compliant within Workday, reviewing the security permissions for access and as part of reporting
- Involvement in training for new members of the People function and training on new functionality to the wider team
- Other related activities as identified by the Product Owner.
Person Specification:
- You have a minimum of 3-5 years’ experience in Workday configuration and change implementation.
- You have completed several Workday courses of which Core HCM is essential.
- You can demonstrate a good foundational knowledge of Workday configuration and reporting.
- You can demonstrate a good foundational knowledge of Workday across HCM and at least two other modules within our suite, including: HCM, Recruiting, Talent, Benefits, Absence, Time Tracking, Workday Help, Advanced Compensation.
- Have previously used Workday Community to troubleshoot and self-learn to meet the business change requirements.
- Good communication skills, both verbal and written
- Self-organised and methodical, with strong attention to detail
- Problem-solving skills, with a curiosity and tenacity to resolve issues
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office, intermediate / advanced Excel
- Interest in technology & product development
- Personal drive and the ability to work effectively as part of a wider team
- Adaptable, service minded and adept at problem-solving to support the team at different global locations
