Job Description:
At Remitly, we believe everyone deserves the freedom to access, move, and manage their money wherever life takes them. Since 2011, we've tirelessly delivered on our promise to customers sending money globally, providing secure, simple, and reliable ways to manage their money, ensuring true peace of mind. Whether it's supporting loved ones back home, growing a business across continents, or pursuing new opportunities abroad, we're not just here to move money— we're here to move our global customers forward. We're looking for builders, reimaginers, and global thinkers who want to work at the intersection of technology, trust, and transformation. If that's you and you're ready to do the most meaningful work of your career—we invite you to join over 2,800 passionate Remitlians worldwide who are united by our vision to transform lives with trusted financial services that transcend borders.
Our global People team is growing, and we’re looking for a People Operations Partner who brings both operational rigor and a creative, improvement-driven mindset. This isn’t just an execution role – it’s for someone who sees how things work, asks how they could be better, and actually does something about it.
You’ll be a bridge between employees, HRBPs, and People programs. You’ll own the day-to-day administration of HR processes across the full employee lifecycle while also spotting patterns in data, bringing forward project proposals, and championing continuous improvement. A significant portion of this role supports timekeeping for our Philippines employee population.
This role requires strong attention to detail, a process-first mindset, and the ability to execute with precision at scale. You’ll engage directly with employees and business leaders to ensure our programs are simple, consistent, and genuinely add value across the organization.
YOU WILL:
Provide timekeeping support for our Philippines employee population, including accurate tracking, correction, and reconciliation of time and attendance data using Jeonsoft ESS and Workday.
Execute day-to-day HR operations with precision, including onboarding, offboarding, leaves of absence, job changes, payroll review support, compliance, benefits administration, and employment data maintenance.
Manage HR JIRA ticketing end-to-end — from intake through resolution and escalation — ensuring every request is handled accurately and within established timelines.
Administer key HRIS platforms including Workday, maintaining data integrity and system accuracy across all records.
Support execution of programs across the employee lifecycle, including onboarding, internal transfers, and offboarding.
Bring forward project proposals – identify gaps, pitch solutions, and take initiative on improvements rather than waiting to be asked.
Act as a bridge for employees navigating HR: show up proactively, go beyond your comfort zone to investigate issues, and make sure people feel helped, not stonewalled.
Document and maintain People Operations policies, processes, and procedures, keeping them current and accessible.
Apply a global mindset to ensure all programs and processes are inclusive and consistent for employees wherever they are located.
Partner closely with HR colleagues and stakeholders across levels, building trust through clear, thoughtful communication.
Anticipate process gaps and data missteps before they occur, proactively improving the accuracy and reliability of our operations.
Challenge outdated approaches with intellectual curiosity, knowing that continuous improvement is part of the job.
YOU HAVE:
5+ years of experience in HR operations, project coordination, or a closely related function.
Experienced with Jeonsoft ESS and Workday for timekeeping and HRIS administration; familiarity with supporting Philippines-based employees is a strong plus.
You love a well-run process but you’re always asking how it could be better, and you bring proposals, not just observations.
You lead with curiosity and empathy, willing to go outside your comfort zone to understand what employees need and find ways to help.
Genuinely passionate about Remitly’s mission and the immigrant communities we serve.
Tech-forward and systems-curious; you pick up new tools quickly and love finding out what they can actually do.
A strong problem-solver who can navigate ambiguity while keeping execution on track.
A collaborative partner who builds trust across levels and brings people together around shared goals.
Driven by a love of testing, measuring, and iterating to make processes more effective over time.
Deeply aligned with our mission and values.
