POSITION SUMMARY:
The Human Resources Specialist's main responsibilities will include managing the maintaining employee records, recruitment support, HR auditing and compliance.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
HR Administration and Employee Engagement:
Maintain accurate employee records, ensuring confidentiality and compliance with legal regulations.
Manage the HR SharePoint site, posting communications, updating documents and maintaining portal.
Manage the badges system and complete badges for applicable locations.
Manage incoming calls/ voicemails / HR Email for the HR Department line (transfer calls/ take messages and send to the appropriate person).
Create, implement, and evaluate all human resource department policies, procedures, and structures.
Coordinate events and activities to engage employees, such as health and wellness, recruitment, and professional development.
Manage the Service Award program for both US and CAN employees.
Advise employees on HR policies and procedures.
Filing and organizing both electronic and paper forms (if necessary).
Onboarding / Offboarding:
Complete the hiring process in HRIS system for both US and Canada employees.
Manage onboarding and offboarding tracker and checklists, send onboarding emails, track onboarding documents and background checks.
Send onboarding packets and test kits when applicable.
Conduct New Hire Orientation.
Manage I-9 and E-verity process.
Coordinate exit process for departing employees such as creating termination letters, requesting and coordinating return of equipment.
HR Projects and Initiatives:
Assist in the development and implementation of HR policies and procedures.
Participate in HR systems upgrades or projects, ensuring alignment with business needs.
Assist in the recruitment process, including posting job openings, screening resumes, and coordinating interviews.
Maintain and update job descriptions as needed.
All other HR duties and projects as required.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
3 years previous experience in HR or related field required
Familiarity with HR processes like recruitment campaigns, payroll system, etc.
Proficiency in HRIS systems, Workday preferred.
Ability to manage sensitive and confidential information with discretion.
Solid problem-solving and team management abilities.
Strong data management and analytical thinking skills
EDUCATION REQUREMENTS
Bachelor’s degree in human resource management, business administration with a specialization in human resource, or a degree in a related field.
