HR Specialist -Pittsburgh Mercy

Key Responsibilities:

  • Weekly Orientation: Conduct informative and engaging weekly orientation sessions for new employees, ensuring they have a comprehensive understanding of our company culture, policies, and procedures.

  • Customer Service Focus: Provide exceptional customer service to all employees, answering questions, addressing concerns, and fostering a positive and supportive work environment.

  • Documentation and Records: Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records, ensuring compliance with all relevant HR laws and regulations.

  • Onboarding Support: Assist in the onboarding process, including paperwork completion, benefits enrollment, and coordination with various departments to ensure a smooth transition for new hires.

  • Benefits Administration: Educate employees on our comprehensive benefits package, assist with benefit enrollment, and serve as a point of contact for benefits-related inquiries.

  • HR Policies: Promote and enforce company HR policies and procedures to ensure a harmonious and compliant workplace.

  • Reporting: Generate and maintain HR reports and metrics to track key performance indicators and provide insights for continuous improvement.

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required. Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration/Human Resources or related field preferred.
  • 1-2 years experience in employee relations, recruitment, or customer service
  • Must have experience in Microsoft Office products, be detail-oriented, and enjoy handling multiple tasks.
  • Act 33/34 and FBI clearances
  • Pre-employment drug screen
  • Exceptional customer service and interpersonal skills.

  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.

  • Strong written and verbal communication abilities.

  • Proficiency in HR software and Microsoft Office Suite.

  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.

WORK SCHEDULE: This is an Non-Exempt (hourly) position.

  • Monday through Friday 8:00 am to 4:00 pm with flexibility to meet the needs of the department.
