The HR Reporting and Analytics Analyst plays a critical role in transforming workforce data into meaningful insights that support HR decision-making across the enterprise. Reporting to the HR Reporting & Analytics Head, this role is responsible for developing and maintaining recurring reports, ensuring data accuracy, and supporting the delivery of dashboards and analytics solutions. The Analyst partners with HR Centers of Excellence (COEs), HRBPs and HR Operations to provide timely, accurate, and actionable data that supports workforce planning, talent strategies and organizational effectiveness.
This role will support efforts to enhance Ferguson’s HR analytics maturity by helping automate processes, improve data integrity, and strengthen utilization of HR data assets. Curious, detail-oriented and analytical, the Analyst plays a foundational role in the enterprise-wide data strategy.
Location:This role is approved for remote work across the United States or Hybrid out of Ferguson's corporate offices in Newport News, VA, according to company policy.
Responsibilities:Reporting and Insights Delivery
- Produce and maintain recurring HR reports including headcount, attrition, DEI, recruiting and other organizational health metrics, etc.
- Support the design and delivery of dashboards and KPIs used by HR leadership and business partners.
- Troubleshoot data discrepancies and ensure timely delivery of all reporting commitments.
- Translate workforce data into clear, actionable insights that support talent decisions.
Data Accuracy and Governance
- Support data validation and quality checks across HR systems.
- Maintain consistency and integrity of HR data following established governance, security and privacy standards.
Process Improvement and Automation
- Identify opportunities to automate reporting processes and streamline data delivery.
- Assist with documenting reporting processes, data definitions, and operational workflows.
- Support continuous improvement efforts that advance the enterprise’s people analytics maturity.
Cross-Functional Support
- Partner with HRBPs, COEs and HR Operations to understand reporting needs and deliver solutions.
- Support audit and compliance reporting as needed.
- Assist in external benchmarking and data submissions.
- 3+ years of experience in Workday Reporting, Analytics or related fields.
- Experience working with large data sets, HR systems, or business intelligence tools (like Power BI) is preferred.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and present findings clearly.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy.
- Comfort working with spreadsheets, dashboards and data visualization tools.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
- Strong communication skills- able to present data in a clear, concise, and meaningful way.
- Customer service mindset and willingness to collaborate across teams.

$5,608.34 - $8,975.00-
Estimated Ranges displayed are Monthly for Salaried roles OR Hourly for all other roles.
