As we continue to expand our global team, we are seeking an experienced People & Operations Manager to lead our people operations and talent acquisition efforts in India.This is a high-impact role that combines global recruiting, HR operations, compliance, payroll administration, benefits management, and operational support. You will work closely with our Director of operations to build scalable processes, support our growing workforce, and ensure our India operations run smoothly and compliantly.
This role serves as the primary People & Operations partner for our India team and works directly with US leadership. Success in this role requires strong business communication skills, sound judgment, and the ability to operate independently in a fast-paced, global environment. What You'll DoGlobal Talent AcquisitionLead end-to-end recruiting efforts for positions across India and international markets
Source, engage, and attract high-quality candidates through LinkedIn, job boards, referrals, recruiting agencies, and other channels
Manage candidate pipelines and hiring workflows through our Applicant Tracking System (Greenhouse)
Coordinate interviews across multiple stages and stakeholders
Develop and refine job descriptions, hiring processes, and candidate experience initiatives
Build and maintain relationships with recruiting agencies and external hiring partners
Partner with leadership to develop hiring strategies and workforce planning initiatives
Manage employee onboarding and offboarding processes
Coordinate orientation, training, and employee integration programs
Administer employee contracts, documentation, and personnel records
Support compensation planning, benefits administration, and employee programs
Manage relationships with our PEO, payroll providers, benefits vendors, and other HR partners
Maintain and improve employee policies, handbooks, and internal documentation
Support employee engagement and recognition programs, including work anniversaries, promotions, and team celebrations
Ensure compliance with Indian labor laws, employment regulations, and company policies
Coordinate statutory registrations, filings, and regulatory requirements as needed
Manage and support PAN, TAN, banking registrations, and other operational requirements for the India entity
Partner with legal, finance, and external advisors to ensure ongoing compliance
Maintain accurate employee records and compliance documentation
Monitor changes in employment laws and recommend policy updates when necessary
Oversee payroll processing and coordinate with payroll providers to ensure accuracy and timeliness
Manage employee benefits administration and enrollment processes
Support compensation reviews and salary administration
Resolve payroll and benefits-related inquiries from employees
Ensure compliance with applicable tax and statutory requirements
Assist leadership with operational initiatives and special projects
Develop and implement scalable processes and procedures to support company growth
Coordinate office and administrative activities for the India team as needed
Identify opportunities to improve efficiency, employee experience, and operational effectiveness
Act as a trusted partner to leadership on people-related and operational matters
5-7+ years of experience in People Operations, Human Resources, Talent Acquisition, or Operations
Experience supporting a US-based company, multinational organization, or global workforce
Proven experience managing full-cycle recruiting across multiple functions and seniority levels
Strong knowledge of Indian employment laws, payroll administration, statutory compliance, and HR best practices
Experience managing employee onboarding, benefits administration, and HR operations
Experience working with external vendors, PEOs, payroll providers, legal advisors, and recruiting agencies
Exceptional written and verbal English communication skills
Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities independently
Demonstrated ability to build processes, solve problems proactively, and operate with minimal supervision
Experience recruiting across multiple countries and regions
Familiarity with ATS, HRIS, and recruiting technologies, specifically Greenhouse and Linkedin.
Experience building HR processes, policies, and employee handbooks from the ground up
Experience supporting entity administration, banking relationships, and regulatory registrations
Experience working in a startup, consulting, agency, or high-growth environment
