Expected Length of Internship: 

  • Beginning now and lasting through December 2026 (Winter). There may be a potential option to extend into 2027 as well.

  • First Solar allows flexibility to enrol in classes while working as an intern, as long as it doesn’t interfere with the essential functions of the position.

  • This is a full-time position.  Work will be 3 days in the corporate office, with flexibility of remote work 2 days/week. 

Education/Experience:

  • Human Resources Management, Data Science, or Business major, 3rd or 4th Year student preferred.
  • Some experience in an office environment preferred.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Excel.  Power BI and MS Copilot a plus.
  • First Solar encourages all interns to register their internship with their university.

 

Required Skills/Competencies:

  • Ability to navigate PowerPoint and MS Excel with efficiency, good understanding of Excel formulas and pivot tables a plus.

Basic Internship Scope (Project):

  • Support Global Human Resource projects

  • Proofread HR documents, PowerPoints

  • Help prepare Word, PowerPoint, and Excel Documents

  • Availability to attend local University career fairs with Talent Acquisition as required.

  • Assist the Diversity Inclusion and Belonging efforts for the team.

  • Assist with other projects as required.

  • This internship will support the Connector Program (Buddy Program) and Mentorship Program, the intern will:

    • Gather data for Program metrics 

    • Track progress, priorities, and deadlines 

    • Contribute to process and system enhancement
    • Review surveys and provide feedback/suggestions.
    • Obtain feedback from hiring managers and/or mentors/mentees.
    • Be the point of contact for project questions.
  • Gain hands-on experience in people analytics by supporting the annual Inclusion & Engagement Survey. Responsibilities include organizing survey data, reviewing employee feedback, identifying trends, creating Power BI reports, and helping develop presentations that inform strategic decisions made by senior leaders and executives.

  • Upon the completion of this internship, the intern is required to present their accomplishments and project summary to the leadership team.

Estimated Salary Range:

  • $19-$21/ hour
