What you will be doing
- Collaboration – Partner closely with other departments to deliver a seamless experience for all stakeholders.
- Payroll Coordination – Manage payroll processes with external providers (e.g., Deel Payroll, PayFit in the UK, and TriNet in the US).
- Salary Calculations – Prepare salary calculations for our in-house payroll in the UAE and KSA (a straightforward process where gross equals net).
- Controls & Analysis – Perform variance analysis and implement payroll controls to ensure correct payslip generation.
- Projects & Improvements – Contribute to payroll-related projects, such as process automation and system integrations.
- HR Data Management – Maintain and update our HR system (HiBob) with information on new joiners, leavers, salary adjustments, and role changes.
- Leave Management – Oversee holiday accruals and calculate compensated leave using HRIS data.
- Accounting Entries – Prepare and post payroll-related journal entries in the accounting system (note: Deel payroll entries are automated).
- Contracts & Templates – Draft payroll-related contracts and maintain jurisdiction-specific templates with support from internal and external legal counsel.
- HR Support – Assist with a wide range of internal and external HR-related matters.
What we are looking for
- Minimum 1-2 years of experience in payroll, accounting, or finance. Experience with payroll software or HRIS is a plus.
- Proficiency in English at a minimum B2 level; knowledge of additional languages is an advantage.
- Strong knowledge of Excel, including formulas, pivot tables, and data analysis; familiarity with other financial or payroll tools is beneficial.
- Proactive mindset with strong analytical skills, problem-solving abilities, and keen attention to detail.
- Excellent time management and organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively and meet deadlines.
- Ability to work independently and efficiently in a fast-paced, dynamic environment while handling multiple tasks.
- Understanding of data confidentiality and compliance with payroll regulations and labor laws.
- Payroll & HRIS Platforms: Proficient in HiBob (HR database management), Deel (global payroll and contractor management), and Sage (payroll processing and reporting).
- Global Jurisdiction Knowledge: Extensive experience managing payroll, compliance, and HR processes across US, Canada, Spain, France, Netherlands, UK, Ireland, Poland, Kosovo, Australia, New Zealand, Hong Kong, Singapore, Malaysia, Japan, UAE, and Saudi Arabia.

- 1st Stage: Video call/in-person meeting with the Payroll Team - 30 minutes
- 2nd Stage/Final Stage: Video call/in-person meeting with the Payroll Team and VP of Accounting & Controller
