The Impact You’ll Make in this Role

The HR Operations Manager is responsible for overseeing and managing all aspects of human resources operations within the organization. This role ensures HR functions are streamlined, efficient, and aligned with business objectives. The HR Operations Manager will lead HR initiatives, and process improvements, and ensure the effective delivery of HR services across various functions, including talent management, employee relations, performance management, compensation, benefits, stakeholder management, KPI management, people management, operational excellence, and the transition of new processes and tasks to the Global Business Services (GBS) team.

Key Responsibilities:

1. HR Operations Leadership:

  • Oversee the day-to-day operations of HR services, ensuring the efficient implementation of HR programs and processes across the organization.
  • Manage HR systems and tools, ensuring they are effective, up-to-date, and aligned with business needs.
  • Lead a team of HR professionals to ensure smooth execution of HR operations, providing guidance and support as needed.
  • Drive operational excellence by continuously assessing and enhancing HR service delivery to meet business needs and maintain high standards.
  • Manage the transition of new HR processes and tasks to the GBS team, ensuring seamless integration and operational efficiency during the handover.

2. Process Improvement & Efficiency:

  • Identify and implement process improvements in HR operations, striving for continuous efficiency gains and cost-effective solutions.
  • Evaluate existing HR processes to ensure they meet organizational needs and adhere to compliance standards, implementing changes where necessary.
  • Develop and optimize HR workflows, ensuring seamless integration with other business functions and facilitating operational excellence.
  • Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) related to HR functions to assess operational efficiency and implement corrective actions as needed.
  • Oversee the smooth transition of new and enhanced processes to GBS, ensuring thorough documentation and training for all involved parties.

3. Talent Management & Employee Lifecycle:

  • Manage key HR processes, including recruitment, onboarding, performance management, employee development, promotions, and offboarding.
  • Ensure smooth transitions for employees through various stages of the employee lifecycle, from hiring to exit.
  • Partner with leadership teams to ensure HR practices align with organizational goals and drive talent retention, growth, and development.
  • Implement strategies for employee development and performance management, ensuring alignment with KPIs to track individual and organizational success.

4. Compliance & Policy Management:

  • Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations related to employment and labor laws.
  • Support, communicate, and implement HR policies and procedures that align with legal requirements and organizational objectives.
  • Stay informed about changes in HR regulations, updating HR practices and processes to maintain compliance and operational excellence.
  • Ensure that any new processes transferred to GBS are compliant with legal standards and align with organizational policies.

5. Employee Relations & Engagement:

  • Act as a trusted advisor for both employees and management on HR issues, guiding conflict resolution, performance management, and employee relations matters.
  • Lead initiatives aimed at improving employee engagement and satisfaction, such as employee surveys, feedback mechanisms, and recognition programs.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to enhance employee experience and build a positive organizational culture.

6. Data Management & Reporting:

  • Manage HR data and reporting, ensuring accuracy and timely delivery of HR metrics, such as headcount, turnover, and other key performance indicators (KPIs).
  • Analyze HR data to identify trends and provide insights that can inform strategic decisions and operational improvements.
  • Create and deliver regular reports on HR performance to senior leadership, highlighting key issues, improvements, and recommendations.
  • Use data to drive people management decisions and evaluate HR's effectiveness in achieving operational excellence.

7. Technology & Systems Management:

  • Oversee HR technology platforms, ensuring HRIS systems (such as Workday, SAP, etc.) are fully optimized to support HR processes and improve employee experience.
  • Ensure HR data integrity and confidentiality are maintained, and support troubleshooting and system upgrades as necessary.
  • Lead or collaborate on HR system implementations and upgrades to enhance functionality, improve HR service delivery, and drive operational excellence.

8. Budget & Resource Management:

  • Develop and manage the HR operational budget, ensuring cost-effective resource allocation.
  • Work with senior leadership to allocate appropriate resources for HR operations, ensuring alignment with business priorities.
  • Ensure HR operations are effectively resourced, and HR teams have the tools, training, and support needed to succeed.

9. Stakeholder Management & Collaboration:

  • Cultivate strong relationships with senior leadership, line managers, and other key stakeholders to ensure HR operations support the overall business strategy.
  • Collaborate with business leaders to align HR operations with organizational goals and KPIs.
  • Manage stakeholder expectations by ensuring timely, effective communication and the delivery of HR services that meet business needs.
  • Act as a liaison to resolve conflicts and foster a collaborative, solution-driven environment.
  • Lead efforts to transition new processes and tasks to the GBS team, ensuring effective collaboration with key stakeholders for successful integration.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or advance student related field (Master’s preferred).
  • Proven experience in HR operations or HR management, with a strong understanding of HR processes, systems, and best practices.
  • Experience with HR systems and software, such as Workday, SAP, or other HRIS platforms.
  • Strong leadership skills, with the ability to manage, motivate, and develop HR teams.
  • Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and decision-making skills.
  • Strong knowledge of labor laws and HR compliance requirements.
  • Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate with various stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and adapt to changing organizational needs.
  • Fluent in English (additional languages are a plus).
