We are looking for an experienced HR Operations professional to manage and deliver all HR administrative and operational activities in Romania. This role acts as the single point of contact for HR Operations locally, ensuring full compliance with Romanian labor legislation, accurate employee data management, and high-quality HR service delivery throughout the entire employee lifecycle. The position works closely with HR Business Partners, Payroll, Finance, and external vendors to ensure seamless, legally compliant, and employee-focused HR operations within a multinational environment.
Job Type: Full-time, Hybrid (3 days working from home, 2 days from the office)
Responsibilities:
Core Compliance & Legal Accountability
Ensure full compliance with Romanian labor legislation by overseeing all HR administrative processes, maintaining accurate employee records, and managing mandatory documentation.
Draft, prepare, and manage employment contracts, addenda, and all HR-related documents, ensuring proper circulation and collection of wet signatures as required by local law.
Handle national statutory reporting (REVISAL) with accuracy and timeliness, ensuring alignment with legal deadlines and audit requirements.
Liaise with labor authorities and other regulatory bodies on technical and compliance-related topics.
Single Point of Contact for All HR Administration in Romania
Act as the sole HR Operations representative in the country, serving as the primary point of contact for all employees requiring HR documentation, certificates, or administrative support.
Provide guidance to employees on HR policies, benefits, and interpretation of Romanian labor law, ensuring consistent and compliant application.
Benefits Administration & Vendor Management
Administer all local benefit programs, including flexible benefits, medical plans, and special allowances.
Coordinate with external vendors to manage updates, resolve issues, and implement changes driven by legislation or employee needs.
Prepare on-demand benefit reports and collaborate closely with payroll to ensure accurate processing.
Employee Lifecycle Management
Oversee the onboarding process, ensuring all legal and internal requirements are met and supporting new hires in understanding local regulations and procedures.
Manage offboarding activities in compliance with Romanian labor law and internal processes, ensuring accurate documentation and timely system updates.
Support HRBP with monitoring and administering local processes such as maternity leave, other statutory leaves, time attendance, and virtual work policies.
Data Integrity, Reporting & Audit Support
Maintain and update HR databases and systems (Workday and local systems) in line with company standards and legal requirements.
Reconcile HR data between Workday, REVISAL, Payroll, and Finance, addressing discrepancies and preparing necessary documentation for authorities.
Provide HR-related reports and statistics to management, ensuring data accuracy and reliability.
Support annual financial audits by preparing employee file documentation and responding to auditor requests.
Employee Support & Service Delivery
Manage Employee Connect tickets raised by Romanian employees, ensuring timely and accurate resolution.
Requirements:
Education & Experience
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
4+ years of experience in HR administration, ideally within a multinational environment.
Demonstrated expertise in Romanian labor legislation and HR administrative processes.
Technical & Professional Skills
Strong proficiency in standard office applications (Excel, Word) and comfort working with digital tools and platforms.
Experience with Workday is considered an advantage.
Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
High proficiency in English.
