The successful candidate will be intellectually agile and be able to juggle multiple tasks relating to human resources. The candidate will be the first point of contact for employees and will be actively involved in all employee life cycle activity. An eye for detail is required in the maintenance of employee records in the HRM system and the ability to produce reports generated from the HR system. Human Resources is responsible for delivering pragmatic and responsive support on all HR related activities as well as ensuring our people work in a positive office environment that reflects Zayo’s culture. We are looking for a proactive, independent HR Specialist who is solutions based in their approach and follows through in delivery.
The HR Specialist will be based in London and will be responsible for supporting business in the UK and Europe.
HR
- Manage HR administration throughout the employee life cycle - from pre-hire to post-termination stage.
- Creation and maintenance of employee records both in electronic files and on the HRM system (Workday).
- Production of monthly payroll instructions and pension reports for review and sign-off.
- Administration of UK and Europe benefits, e.g. regular communication to employee benefits brokers with details on new hires, leavers and changes to benefit provision.
- Support HR team in providing employees with first line support and guidance in relation to HR related matters.
- Responsible for managing the on-boarding experience for all new hires as well as managing the off-boarding of employees.
- Responsible for managing the Europe HR Site.
- Arranging team meetings, taking minutes and organise HR related events and workshops
- Responsible for managing the online training portals ensuring compliance with our on-boarding process and requirements under Health & Safety ISO certification.
- Administration of financial processes – processing invoices, setting up expense builders (EBs) and ensuring purchase orders (POs) are processed and coded correctly.
- Support in HR related programs/activities including absence recording, office culture and environment, social events
- Production of reports and people analytics as directed by the HR team
- Involvement in general HR based projects on an ad-hoc basis.
- Work closely with Head of HR and HR Business Partners to ensure a positive employee experience
Recruitment
- Work with Talent Acquisition lead to help create effective job descriptions; post to internal and external job boards.
- Liaise with Hiring Managers to arrange and confirm interviews with candidates.
- Support Talent Management in managing employee and applicant enquiries, responding with tact and resourcefulness.
- Involvement in general Recruitment based projects on an ad-hoc basis.
Other
Act as a backup to the Office Services team and support to the CEO's EA where required
