Position Summary 

Responsible for managing and analyzing payroll and compensation data to ensure accurate and timely employee payments. Supports HR operations by maintaining payroll systems, processing compensation adjustments, conducting audits, generating reports, and ensuring compliance with relevant laws and company policies. Collaborates with HR and finance teams to optimize payroll processes and resolve discrepancies. 

     

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

     

Compensation Administration & Management

  • Administer market pricing and benchmarking activities using tools such as Payscale to support consistent pay practices
  • Own and manage participation in external compensation surveys, including Mercer surveys, ensuring accurate data   submission, validation, and reporting
  • Maintain and manage pay ranges, salary structures, and job architecture within established guidelines
  • Support day-to-day compensation administration, including pay changes, job evaluations, and related transactions
  • Review and validate compensation data to ensure accuracy, consistency, and alignment with internal policies
  • Assist in the administration of incentive and variable pay programs, including data validation and payout processing support
  • Ensure compensation processes are executed accurately, consistently, and in compliance with organizational standards
  • Partner with HR, Payroll, and Finance to support the effective management of compensation-related activities

Payroll Support

  • Support payroll processing through data validation, audits, and data integrity checks
  • Review earnings, deductions, and employee data to ensure accuracy and consistency across systems
  •  Maintain data integrity within HRIS and payroll systems by identifying and resolving discrepancies
  •  Partner with Payroll Manager to ensure smooth, accurate, and compliant payroll operations

Data & Systems

  • Partner with HRIS partner to ensure accurate configuration of pay-related data in Dayforce
  • Support reporting and analysis across payroll and compensation
  • Assist with data uploads, audits, and process improvements

 Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Work closely with Payroll, HR, and leadership to support pay programs
  • Support compensation-related communications and documentation
  • Assist in building scalable compensation and payroll processes and governance

Requirements

Qualifications 

  •  3–6+ years of experience in payroll, compensation, or HR operations
  •  Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
  •  Experience with compensation analysis and/or payroll processes
  •  Experience with assisting with building out compensation programs
  •  Proficiency in Excel and HR systems (e.g., Dayforce, Workday, ADP, etc.)
  •  Experience with compensation tools like Payscale preferred
  •  Experience with market data through Mercer preferred

  • Able to manage sensitive data with confidentiality
  • Comfortable working with cross-functional teams
  • Strong understanding of the financial impact of compensation programs and payroll, including cost management, budgeting, and alignment to business performance metrics
  • Ability to build and maintain effective relationships with employees at all levels of the organization

Skills Required
