Overview: Our client in a well - established Financial Services
provider based in Barbados. Due to internal growth, they are seeking to add a
professional to their existing HR Benefits & Rewards team.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Coordinate
assigned HR operational processes across the employee lifecycle, ensuring
required activities, documentation, approvals and HRIS updates are
completed accurately and within established timelines.
- Apply
established HR policies and procedures when responding to routine employee
enquiries and explain relevant requirements, processes and documentation.
- Coordinate
employee lifecycle processes, including onboarding, probation,
confirmations, transfers, promotions, acting appointments, contract
renewals and separations.
- Coordinate
assigned employee benefits processes, ensuring employee requests,
enrolment changes, supporting documentation and related transactions are
complete and accurate before processing or submission.
- Review
benefits documentation prepared by the HR Assistant and verify the
required information, approvals and supporting documentation are complete
before submission to external benefits providers.
- Provide
employees with information on established benefits procedures, eligibility
requirements and enrolment processes.
- Provide
managers with information and documentation requirements necessary to
facilitate employee benefits transactions.
- Review
routine benefits enquiries and discrepancies, obtain relevant information
and coordinate with employees, HR team members and benefits providers to
facilitate resolution.
- Apply
established benefits policies and procedures when processing routine
requests and refer matters involving exceptions or circumstances outside
established guidelines to the Compensation and Benefits Manager or
appropriate resources.
- Monitor
outstanding benefits transactions and follow up with relevant parties to
support timely resolution.
- Coordinate
annual benefits enrolment activities by monitoring deadlines, tracking
outstanding requirements and coordinating employee communications.
- Coordinate
the day-to-day administration of the Company's Rewards and Recognition
program in accordance with established policies, procedures and program
guidelines.
- Coordinate
service awards, milestone celebrations, employee recognition activities
and related communications, including scheduling, logistics, award
preparation and distribution.
- Provide
employees with information on the Rewards and Recognition Program and
coordinate with managers to obtain information and documentation required
to administer approved recognition activities.
- Coordinate
the preparation and distribution of approved recognition awards and
materials within established timelines.
- Provide
operational input to the Compensation and Benefits Manager on recurring
employee enquiries, process issues and opportunities to improve HR service
delivery.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s
degree in human resources management, Business Administration, Management
or related area with at least 3 years’ progressively responsible
experience in Human Resource Management, with emphasis on HR operations,
employee services or HR administration.
- Experience
managing or coordinating employee recognition initiatives would be an
asset.
- Professional
certification in Human Resource Management (e.g. SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, CIPD
or equivalent) is an asset.
- Ability
to communicate information clearly, professionally and confidentially,
both verbally and in writing.
- Ability
to interpret and consistently apply HR policies, procedures and
professional judgement in day-to-day operations.
- Ability
to plan, organize and coordinate multiple priorities and HR processes
while meeting established deadlines.
Skills Required
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources Management, Business Administration, Management, or a related area
- At least 3 years of progressively responsible experience in Human Resource Management, emphasizing HR operations, employee services, or HR administration
- Ability to communicate information clearly, professionally, and confidentially, verbally and in writing
- Ability to interpret and consistently apply HR policies, procedures, and professional judgment
- Ability to plan, organize, and coordinate multiple priorities and HR processes while meeting deadlines
- Experience managing or coordinating employee recognition initiatives
- Professional certification in Human Resource Management, such as SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, CIPD, or equivalent
