Our client, a reputable logistics company, is seeking an experienced HR Manager to oversee the company’s people operations, employee relations, and HR compliance functions. The ideal candidate is structured, disciplined, and able to drive an efficient and people-centered HR environment that supports daily logistics operations.
This role requires strong judgment, maturity, and the ability to engage across multiple staff levels while ensuring adherence to company policies and performance expectations.
Oversee all HR administrative processes, including employee records, documentation, and HR reporting.
Manage recruitment, selection, onboarding, and exit processes.
Maintain accurate staff files, leave management systems, and HR databases.
Implement the performance management framework and manage periodic performance reviews.
Coach supervisors and team leads on performance standards and documentation.
Support leadership in driving a culture of accountability, teamwork, and professionalism.
Serve as the primary point of contact for staff concerns, grievances, and conflict resolution.
Ensure disciplinary processes follow due process and internal policies.
Promote effective communication and maintain positive employee relations.
Ensure compliance with company policies, labour regulations, and industry standards.
Update HR policies and support management in enforcing standards across the business.
Conduct periodic audits to ensure HR and operational practices are aligned.
Identify skill gaps and recommend appropriate training interventions.
Support management with workforce planning and competency development.
Requirements
Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Industrial Relations, or a related field.
2–4 years of HR generalist or HR operations experience.
Experience in logistics, manufacturing, supply chain, or a similar operational environment is an advantage.
Strong understanding of HR policies, Nigerian labour laws, and HR compliance.
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and conflict-resolution skills.
Ability to work independently with sound judgment and maturity.
Proficiency in MS Office; HR software experience is a plus.
