We are headquartered in Oakland, CA, and have additional offices in Minneapolis, MN, and Zagreb, Croatia.
What you’ll do:
HR Leadership
- Serve as the HR leader in Croatia, advising leadership on HR best practices, employment laws, talent strategy, and employee relations.
- Act as a trusted partner to leadership by providing strategic guidance on talent acquisition, performance management, learning and development, compensation, and workforce planning.
- Lead local People initiatives while ensuring alignment with global people programs.
- Advise on the design and implementation of people processes, policies, and infrastructure to support a scaling organization.
Compliance & Employee Relations
- Ensure compliance with Croatian labor laws, employment regulations, and HR best practices while proactively identifying areas of improvement.
- Oversee employee relations and workplace policies, ensuring fair, transparent, and values-driven work environment.
- Provide guidance on employment contracts, benefits administration, and labor law updates.
Talent Acquisition
- Partner with hiring managers and Talent Acquisition team to develop recruitment strategies that attract and retain top talent in Croatia.
People Development
- Partner with the L&D team to design and implement onboarding, training, and career development programs tailored to the Croatian market.
- Support managers in developing and retaining employees, fostering an environment of continuous growth and feedback.
Culture & Employee Engagement

HR Systems & Operational Efficiency
- Leverage HR technology (Rippling, Greenhouse, etc.) to optimize HR processes.
- Continuously evaluate people policies, benefits, and employee programs to ensure competitiveness in the market.
Who you are:
- People Leader. You have 5+ years of experience as a People leader across various areas of HR, including people and leadership partnering, HR business partnering, people operations, and compliance.
- Business-minded. You understand how the People Team drives business outcomes and can balance the people-centric and strategic initiatives.
- Adaptable. You are comfortable with ambiguity and the challenges and opportunities of working in a high growth company.
- Strong Compliance Knowledge. You have a thorough understanding of Croatian employment laws and know how to navigate regulatory complexities in a growing organization.
- People-Focused Problem Solver. You are adept at navigating complex HR issues within a rapidly scaling environment. Your approach balances the needs of the business with employee well-being, finding solutions that foster growth.

This is an office-based role, working at least 3 days a week (Monday, Wednesday, and Friday) in our Zagreb office.
