We're seeking an HR Information Governance Associate to join our team in the Human Resources Division.
In this department, we help the firm support and develop its workforce through people insight, effective service delivery and practical tools that make it easier for employees and managers to get what they need. What You'll Do in the Role
- Support HR data lifecycle management activities, including data retention, archival, and defensible disposition practices, ensuring alignment with legal, regulatory, and business requirements
- Contribute to the development, implementation, and maintenance of HR information management policies, standards, and controls governing the creation, retention, protection, and disposition of workforce data and records
- Manage defined workstreams within data governance initiatives, including Reference Data Management (Project Starboard), partnering with stakeholders to improve data quality, consistency, and usability
- Collaborate with business, technology, legal, compliance, and risk partners to translate governance requirements into practical processes and controls
- Monitor governance processes and data management practices, identifying opportunities to improve efficiency, reduce risk, and strengthen compliance
- Support data stewardship activities by helping document standards, resolve data issues, and promote adoption of governance practices across HR
- Experience in data governance, information governance, records management, data management, or a related discipline
- Knowledge of data lifecycle management concepts, including retention schedules, archival strategies, and disposition requirements
- Experience supporting governance initiatives or cross-functional projects involving business and technology stakeholders
- Understanding of data quality, reference data management, metadata management, or data stewardship principles
- Knowledge of information management policies, standards, and controls related to the management and protection of HR and business data
- Ability to analyze requirements, solve process and data-related challenges, and communicate effectively with stakeholders across functions
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver high-quality work in a complex environment
