Who You Are:
 

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or related field preferred.
  • 3-5 years of experience.
  • PHR certification required.
  • Healthcare and/or senior living experience preferred.
  • Excellent oral, written, and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, HRIS, ATM software.
  • Takes initiative.
  • Ability to build rapport.
  • Strong time management.
  • Tact and discretion, for dealing with confidential information.
  • Fluent in English, Spanish language is a plus.

Job Summary:

Under the direction of the Human Resources Director, the Human Resources Generalist supports multiple HR functions within their departments of responsibility. Within this classification: tracking work related injuries, leave of absence program, ADA management, monthly employee data reports, company/employee investigations, recruitment, onboarding, and employee engagement. The HR Generalist is the first point of contact for the HR team.

Essential Duties:
 

  • Conduct accident investigations and report findings to prevent future incidents; serve as liaison for workers’ compensation claims and maintain OSHA logs and reporting
  • Prepare and track documentation for FMLA, CFRA, PDL, and other leaves; communicate with employees and management
  • Conduct company/employee investigations and support performance management
  • Serve as main point of contact for HR inquiries; prepare HR communications, newsletters, and ensure required postings are current
  • Coordinate full-cycle recruitment including job postings, candidate review, onboarding, and retention efforts
  • Assist with employee engagement, recognition programs, and events
  • Maintain personnel, medical, and payroll files; ensure compliance with regulations and track required certifications and reporting
  • Support HRIS data entry, reporting, audits, and administrative functions
  • Assist with coordination of internal programs, including employee scholarship program

All Employees must be able to pass background checks (fitness for duty physical, fingerprinting, employment references) as required by a licensed residential care facility.
