An MRA member in the Greater Milwaukee Area is hiring a highly capable and proactive HR Generalist to assist with day-to-day HR operations while partnering closely with HR leadership on strategic people initiatives. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys both rolling up their sleeves to handle daily employee needs and driving programs from concept through implementation.
The HR Generalist will serve as a trusted resource for employees and leaders—supporting payroll, benefits, employee relations—while also helping shape and execute programs that enhance the employee experience and drive organizational effectiveness.

Responsibilities
As an HR generalist, you will function in a variety of capacities throughout our Human Resources department.
HR Operations & Employee Support
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for employees, providing timely and accurate support on payroll, benefits, policies, and HR processes
  • Administer payroll and benefits processes, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and a positive employee experience
  • Maintain employee records and ensure compliance with all applicable federal, state, and local laws
  • Support employee relations matters, including coaching managers, resolving concerns, and assisting with investigations

Talent Acquisition & Onboarding
  • Lead full-cycle recruiting and partner with hiring managers to fill open requisitions
  • Work with HR leadership to develop and maintain company internship program
  • Attending career fairs, assist with the development of relationships with local High Schools, Technical Colleges, and Universities
  • Own and continuously improve onboarding processes and new hire experience

Program Development & Execution
  • Partner with HR leadership to design and implement employee programs (engagement, retention, performance management, etc.)
  • Take initiatives from concept through execution—developing plans, driving communication, and ensuring successful rollout
  • Identify and implement process improvements to enhance HR effectiveness and scalability
  • Collaborate with HR leadership to align people strategies with business goals
  • Bring forward ideas and insights based on employee feedback, trends, and operational data

Culture & Employee Wellness
  • Collaborates with HR leadership, and internal team members to champion employee wellness and culture programs such as quarterly wellness education, wellness challenges, and quarterly engagement activities

Compliance & Best Practices
  • Ensure HR practices comply with laws and company policies
  • Assisting with compliance audits
  • Assisting with mandatory reporting requirements
  • Support company safety initiatives

Office/Admin support
  • As needed, this role is responsible for supply ordering, distribution of company giveaways, and organizing company launches.
  • Own or assist with projects that improve department effectiveness
  • As a small but mighty team, we work together to take on additional responsibilities as needed
EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE
  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field required.
  • Minimum 3-5 years of human resource management experience preferred.
  • Confident presentation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Certification in SHRM, PHR is preferred.

REQUIRED SKILLS/ABILITIES
  •  Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  •  Strong knowledge of the hiring processes. Experience hiring in a manufacturing environment is preferred.
  •   Expertise in HR policies and procedures.
  •   Strong knowledge of benefit administration and compliance
  •   Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills.
  •   Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  •   Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
  •   Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  •   Ability to prioritize tasks and to delegate them when appropriate.
  •   Ability to act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality.
  •  Thorough knowledge of employment-related laws and regulations, experience in a multi-state environment  ipreferred
  •  Intermediate experience in MS Excel

 

Skills Required

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field
  • 3-5 years of human resources management experience
