About the Role

Xtreme Aviation LLC is seeking a Human Resources Generalist to join our HR team at our Miami headquarters. This position will support employees throughout the full employment lifecycle, including recruitment, onboarding, employee relations, HR administration, compliance, benefits, employee records, and airport credentialing.

The ideal candidate is organized, detail-oriented, professional, and comfortable working in a fast-paced aviation environment. This role requires strong communication skills, discretion when handling confidential information, and the ability to work effectively with employees and managers at all levels.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support recruitment activities, including candidate screening, interviewing, hiring, and onboarding.
  • Coordinate new hire orientation and onboarding activities.
  • Conduct and/or coordinate background checks, employment eligibility verification, I-9s, and pre-employment requirements.
  • Oversee pre-employment drug testing through the MyScreen system, including local and out-of-state testing.
  • Support random selections and documentation for the company's Drug and Alcohol Program.
  • Maintain accurate employee records and update information in the HRIS/Kronos/UKG.
  • Process employee status changes, HR actions, separations, and other personnel transactions.
  • Assist with employee relations, disciplinary meetings, investigations, and termination processes.
  • Respond to employee questions regarding HR policies, procedures, benefits, systems, and company programs.
  • Support Workers' Compensation and Unemployment claims.
  • Assist with employee handbook interpretation and policy administration.
  • Track required training, certifications, licenses, and other compliance requirements.
  • Maintain accurate airport credential records and support monthly, quarterly, and annual audits.
  • Support employee engagement, recognition, and HR initiatives.
  • Create and maintain HR policies, procedures, process documentation, and employee resources.
  • Identify opportunities to improve HR processes, efficiency, automation, and scalability.
  • Maintain confidentiality and professionalism when handling sensitive employee information.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
QualificationsQualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.
  • 3+ years of Human Resources experience preferred.
  • Experience with HRIS systems; experience with Kronos/UKG is a plus.
  • Strong knowledge of HR processes, employee relations, onboarding, and compliance.
  • Basic knowledge of federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills.
  • Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Strong attention to detail and follow-through.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise sound judgment.
  • Strong customer service and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, changing environment.
  • Experience supporting a geographically distributed workforce is a plus.
  • Aviation, airport, or security credentialing experience is a plus.
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to work in environments with elevated noise levels.
  • Ability to lift up to 20 pounds without mechanical assistance.
  • Ability to bend, twist, squat, reach, and lift as required.
  • Ability to access aircraft maintenance areas, hangars, and other operational areas of the facility.
