About the role

At Centricity Research, our people are at the heart of everything we do. We're looking for an HR Generalist who pairs approachable, thoughtful employee support with strong operational follow-through and a desire to improve how HR work gets done.

 

Working closely with the Director of People Operations, you'll support employees across Canada and the United States throughout the employee lifecycle. Your work will span onboarding, benefits, leaves, employee relations, HR reporting, compliance, and process improvement.

 

This is a fully remote role open to candidates residing in Canada, with regular availability during core Eastern Time business hours preferred. You'll thrive here if you're collaborative, practical, adaptable, and comfortable balancing sensitive conversations with detailed administrative work.


What you'll do

  • Support leaders and employees across Canada and the U.S. throughout the employee lifecycle.
  • Be an approachable, trusted resource on HR policies, employee relations, benefits, leaves, and employment practices, escalating complex matters when appropriate.
  • Manage onboarding, offboarding, employee records, HRIS updates, benefits administration, leave coordination, and compliance activities.
  • Support workplace investigations, performance matters, and manager coaching with care and sound judgment.
  • Prepare workforce reports and use People data to identify trends and support decisions.
  • Improve workflows using HR technology, automation, and AI tools where they add value.
  • Partner with the Director of People Operations on audits, policies, compliance, and organizational projects.
  • Provide occasional Talent Acquisition backup and contribute to a collaborative, responsive People team.

You Might Be a Great Fit If You: 

  • You have 3-5 years of progressive Human Resources or People Operations experience.
  • You have hands-on experience across onboarding, HR administration, benefits, leaves, employee relations, and compliance.
  • Experience supporting U.S. employees or knowledge of U.S. employment practices is preferred, but not required; you are motivated and able to learn.
  • You build trust naturally and provide warm, thoughtful, and responsive support to employees and leaders.
  • You're collaborative, adaptable, and comfortable coaching managers through day-to-day employee matters.
  • You're organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • You enjoy working with data and using HR technology, automation, and AI to improve processes.
  • You communicate clearly, maintain confidentiality, and exercise sound judgment with sensitive information.
  • Experience with workplace investigations, Rippling or another HRIS, recruitment support, or an HR designation is considered an asset.
