Summary:

Vizgen is seeking a Human Resources Generalist to join our amazing, passionate, fun, and kind team. This successful candidate will also handle various Human Resource activities, including onboarding, offboarding, recruitment, retention, benefits administration, coordination of training activities, unemployment insurance, disability, immigration processes, and leave of absences.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Experience managing Immigration processes and working with outside counsel to ensure compliance with all legal requirements related to Immigration work authorization. This includes coordinating visa applications, maintaining accurate records, and staying up-to date on changes in immigration laws and regulations.  
  • Process employee changes, promotions, salary increases, new hire onboarding and off boarding in ADP Workforce Now.
  • Collaborate with the hiring manager to draft job descriptions and post open positions on various job sites
  • Support the external recruitment searches, including developing a tailored strategic search plan
  • Help interview job applicants; review application/resumes; evaluate applicant skills and make recommendations regarding applicants’ qualifications.
  • Conduct new hire employee orientations and ensure compliance. 
  • Conduct I9 Verifications 
  • Administer and explain Medical, Dental, Vision, FSA, and 401(k) benefits to employees while serving as a liaison between employees and PEO (Professional Employer Organization)
  • Participate in the coordination and development of ad hoc training and team development initiatives
  • Provide administrative, tactical, and programmatic coordination of numerous initiatives to drive and sustain a diverse, equitable, inclusive, and belonging culture.
  • Coordinate the resolution of specific policy-related and procedural problems and inquiries
  • Establish and recommend operating policy and procedural improvements within the department
  • Other duties as assigned

Requirements and Qualifications:

  • BS/BA with strong academic credentials highly preferred
  • Minimum of 3 years of HR-related work experience
  • At least one year of experience in the Biotech space is preferred
  • Strong analytical, presentation, and written communication skills
  • Confident in interacting with senior levels of an organization
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Complex problem-solving and analytical skills, including an ability to anticipate issues or concerns
  • Work well under pressure with an ability to meet tight deadlines
  • Ability to handle confidential information with discretion
  • Highly proficient in MS Office (particularly Excel and PowerPoint) – Experience with ADP Total Source (PEO platform) is a plus
  • Experience with the Greenhouse ATS system. 
  • High energy, motivated self-starter
  • Ability to work on various tasks simultaneously and able to work a flexible schedule
  • Proactive, self-starter with the ability to take initiative and seek solutions independently
  • Exceptional customer service and detail-oriented
